About
I guess I shouldn't leave this space blank forever, so here goes the usual non-interesting bios like everyone else has. Oh snap!

Age: 29 (Ugh... Where did me years go?!)
Gender: Female, most of the time.
Interests: Gaming, Most media containing Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Anime, Gardening, Cat Stalking, Sephiroth Collecting.

Vague Gaming Experience: It's hard to pinpoint exactly when I started gaming since I was exposed to it so young in my life. I was able to play many games between Atari 2600 and the Commodore 64 before Nintendo came to exist in my household. While I played many games, I only owned one or two out of the many I pestered my parental units into renting from the local video store. The next console to become a part of my household would be the Sega Genesis instead of the SNES. Since I asked for a SNES for Christmas that year, it was a weird feeling to get that instead. Again, this gaming cycle would be limited to whatever I could rent which was quite small indeed. The next era would be ushered in with the Playstation and all the marvelous RPGs that would become my 'console golden age' as I was able to work a crappy part-time job to truly fuel my gaming renaissance. While PC gaming had also played a role during my childhood, it was around this time I was able to build my first rig and play many series I had missed out on and new ones just getting started. I was able to make it a huge part of my life and it has been ever since and likely it will always be.

Favorite Console Games (no particular order): Suikoden I & II, Breath of Fire 3 & 4, Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, Lunar Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar Eternal Blue, Final Fantasy Tactics, Final Fantasy IV/VI/VII, Anything related to Shin Megami Tensei and its spinoff Persona, Wild Arms, 'Tales of' series, ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, Shadow Hearts & Shadow Hearts Covenant, Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil series, Harvest Moon/Rune Factory series, Valkyrie Profile, Vagrant Story, Einhander, Brigandine, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Jade Empire, Shining Force, Out of this World, Flashback: Quest for Identity, Castlevania series, Katamari Damacy, Jet Set Radio, Yakuza series, Skies of Arcadia, Valkyria Chronicles, Dynasty/Samurai Warriors series, Phoenix Wright series, Golden Sun series

Favorite PC Games (no particular order): Baldur's Gate Saga, Planescape: Torment, System Shock 2, Fallout 1 & 2, Diablo 2, Warcraft 2, Starcraft, King's Quest series, Quest for Glory series, Police Quest 1-3, Space Quest series, Gabriel Knight series, Maniac Mansion, Day of the Tentacle, Monkey Island series, Ultima 1-7, Elder Scrolls - Daggerfall and Morrowind, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Half-Life, Neverwinter Nights: Hordes of the Underdark, Betrayal at Krondor, Deus Ex, Anachronox, Sim City Classic, The Sims, Sacred, Divine Divinity, The Longest Journey, Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer

The list will continue to grow when I have time to fill it out. A work in everlasting progress.

Hey Chocobo Knight, welcome to our Community Blogs!

Unlike a regular blog, where you're out alone in the web wilderness, destructoid will publish your story instantly to a directory shared by our readers. Great blogs are voted up, and you'll soon earn followers. "Failblogs", the opposite of awesomeness, we can do without. As such, we want to help you make the best first impression:

Checklist for Not Sucking:

1) Upload an avatar CHECK!

2) Write a brief bio

CHECK!

3) Publish your first blog (SCARY!)

It's not so scary. However, be mindful of a few things. A good blog is intended to be a complete article, have entertainment value of some kind, and formatted nicely. If you toss a blog up that looks like a quickly thrown-together email with no photos or care you'll never earn readers, and unlikely ever get your blog promoted to our home page.

Here's an example of a FAILBLOG:
Oh hey I'm new here wuz up I've been reading the site for 99 years and this is my first blog! I like tacos! Nice to meet everyone!!! -Niero
Silly rabbit, blogs are not forums! While enthusiasm is greatly appreciated, that's hardly a valid blog post or even a complete paragraph. Even if your intentions are in the right place, this is what we call a "fail blog". Don't be that guy.

If that's all you want to say, it's better suited for fast-paced conversation in our home page comments or even our forums. Blogs are complete thoughts. They should be able to stand alone. When you're ready to talk about an interesting topic, in 1-2 paragraphs and ask readers to respond to your thoughts then you're ready to blog. Got it?

Don't spam the blogs.

One last thing -- be mindful that this is a 'shared' space, so don't push a bunch of blogs together one after the other. After you publish, try commenting and following other bloggers before you blog again to allow people to check your story out, and post new stories as well.

If you are copying and pasting from another blog, please take some time to personalize it for this community. Nobody likes copy-pasta, it's spammy.

Here's a few more blogging tips from the boss of us. Ready to go?
