About

What's it like to be me? Imagine a thousand people throwing a party inside of your head, and you're stuck outside without a ticket.

I guess I'm more "collector" than gamer these days. Sure I still play my 360/Wii/DS/3DS and so on, and I love them all, but I just don't have the free time to play them like I used to.

I started my gaming life on an old Atari 2600 that my dad bought us for Christmas. I used to frequent the local arcade (early 80's) and I have a passion for anything pinball.

You may not know this but I also help run the Xbox 360 FNF side of business on Dtoid. You can always host or find games to play here: Friday Night Fights Forum Thread

As of this update (1.09.2012) I currently have:

33 Consoles
47 Handhelds
1562 physical copies of various games
155 digital copies of games
Tons of other video game related items

I'm also a huge comic book nerd, here are some of my all-time favorites, in no particular order:

Cerberus the Aardvark

Groo the Wanderer

Howard the Duck

Usagi Yojimbo

BatMan

I also love music, all types really. If I had to pick a favorite album of all time I would have to go with:

The Cure: Disintegration. This album is perfect, from beginning to end.

My daughter is also a gamer of sorts, here she is lavishing in all of her Nintendo plushies:

Oh yea, did I mention that I love Pinball more than any other game ever? Because I totally do.

I also like to doodle when I'm bored, as seen below

I drew that when I was bored.

Sometimes, when I'm not gaming or collecting I'll post blogs, here are a couple recent ones:

So I decided to hit up some of the local Goodwill stores in my general vicinity today and boy am I glad I did!

Here we have Kirby Tilt N Tumble. Very fun game, I played it tonight for a bit. It's like Marble Madness but with Kirby.
========================================================================================

Fatality! Do I need to say more?
========================================================================================

$9.99 talk about a steal of a deal!
========================================================================================

Some N64 goodness. Yoshi's Story, WaveRace 64 and Diddy Kong Racing
========================================================================================

Now, no trip to Goodwill would be complete without some old school NES action. Bo Jackson Baseball, RoadBlasters, Bases Loaded 1 & 2, Karate Champ, Jack Nicklaus Golf & NES Football
========================================================================================

And finally Donky Konga Beat 2...best deal of the day by far. The whole set up including game and bongo's in the box was a whopping $9.99.

I still have like 4 more Goodwill stores that I need to hit up but i'll save those for another day. Til then!

I need to go to Goodwill....
Oh man, Kirbys tilt and tumble was so awesome. And it was infuriating. I almost broke my game boy color, on more than one occasion, because of that game.
How many games do you have? Given this and your last game-buying post, I haven't checked further back, it would seem you have a quite respectable collection.
I'd buy extra GBAs just to be able to play Four Sword Adventure at least once with 4 players. Also, get Donkey Kong Jungle Beats now!!
Heh back when Gamestop was getting rid of all their Donky Konga stock it was $10 brand new.
Hahaha! Seems like your Goodwill runs are like my Cash Converter runs good sir! d('-'d) Nice haul! ESPECIALLY that Toys 'R Us exclusive GBA . . . grrr . . . =P
Dang, I wish there were Goodwills in my neighborhood.
Only Value Villages, and they have horrible prices on games.
@ Funktastic. Yea I've got a Cash Converter literally 2 minutes away but they never really have anything good. I do check once a week though just to see what's changed.
I wish I had a Goodwill in my town.
Awesome finds!! I want those N64 games.
I never NEVER find good games at the goodwills in my state...seriously, at most i'll find a genesis copy of madden 98....like, 12 of them. And 83 copies of Sonic 2...but that's it.
Holy shit. Where do you live. Is this Dysons goodwill.
@SEIGFREID: Chicago. I have like 20 near me in a 20 mile radius.
@Chilly

do you just ask for games there?

Or are they like a teasure hunt?

Never been in one, just donated there....
@DE BLOO: It's like a treasure hunt. Most of the Goodwill stores in my area have the gaming stuff in a locked cabinet. Every now and then I will find a loose NES or Genesis cartridge either with the toys or electronics.
Mine Goowill is more suburban.

I get the feeling finding stuff will be easy.
Ignore my shitacular spelling
DE BLOO: It's hit or miss really. I went to five different Goodwill stores yesterday and this is kind of how it went. The first store I went in to had a shit ton of gaming stuff, I probably could have walked out with a lot more than I did. The second only had one item that I could find. The third is where I got all those NES games but they didn't have anything else. The fourth store had so much shit that it would have cost well over 100.00 dollars had I bought it all and it would have filled up my trunk. The 5th store didn't have 1 single gaming item at all.
I typically go to each of these stores once every 2-3 weeks. Sometimes (like yesterday) I find some deals, other days I will go to all 5 (sometimes more) and not get a single thing.
I thought Cash Converters was just a Canadian thing, but upon some internet research, it's actually international . . . =S All I know is mine kickass man, lol, as you may or may not have seen with my "hauls."
