Another ChillyBilly Haul: Nintendo. Lots & lots of Nintendo.

Well, well, well. It's been almost one year since my last proper game haul. Can't believe it has taken me this long to start haul blogging again. I blame the slew of awesome games that released throughout 2011 and early 2012, because of them I was too busy playing and not busy enough blogging.

Yea, that's it.

Since it's been almost a year I have a ton of stuff to post, from classic 70's gaming all the way up to current releases. In order to keep these blogs somewhat manageable I have decided to break the 100+ pictures up in to smaller groups, this installment will be mainly Nintendo, then I'll more than likely move on to Sony then Microsoft stuff, with some swag thrown in here and there.

Oh, I've also decided to change the name of my haul blogs, "ChillyBilly's Emporium of Curious Collectibles" was entirely too long of a title, "Another ChillyBilly Haul" is much shorter and more to the point.

Anywho..how's bout we take a look as some games and stuff.

Now I know I said that this was gonna be all Nintendo but I have a few things that just didn't fit anywhere specific, kinda like this!


Here we have Coleco's Alien Attack handheld LCD game, and a boxed Merlin handheld memory game. My only complain about either of these is that the Alien Attack is missing the box and the box for Merlin is kinda bonked. Other than that both of these games are super fun and super retro. Love 'em.

Here's some old school Nintendo stuff:

First up we have this:

This is the plastic screen that went over the monitor for the Mario Bros. arcade game. One of these days I'm gonna get it framed and hang it up.

And here we have:

A handheld electronic Super Mario Bros. pinball machine. The big round top portion spins around as the balls fall, it's quite loud and pretty damned heavy for a handheld toy.

I know this next piece isn't Nintendo, but it still fits with the theme:

Ghostbusters for the Sega Genesis. Believe it or not this is a pretty tough game to find, in the box anyway. I scored on this one, walked in to a shop that I frequent and saw it with no price, I figured they would want an arm and leg for it, nope..got it for a measly 10 bucks. Can't beat that.

Next is something not so special, but I had to have it nonetheless:

Turok 2 in the box for the N64. Sometimes it's hard to pass up a boxed game if the price is right, even if the game isn't on your wish list.

Here's something for all the Pokemon fans out there:

Pocket Monster Stadium 1 & 2 imports. The guy that was selling these had no idea what to charge, I threw a number at him and he bit. This is one of my more favorite finds as of late, simply because I love finding stuff from overseas.

Picked up this next item for my daughter, because she's a huge Princess Peach fan:

It's just a Gameboy Advance with a Princess Peach sticker thing over it.

Anyone here a Zelda fan? Yea me too:

I found all four of these games (well my girlfriend did) at Goodwill, they were all rubber-banded together, when I saw the price tag I flipped. $10 bucks for all four.

How's about we take a gander at some DS games:

Couple of Kirby games, Ivy the Kiwi?, Mario & Sonic at the Olympics and Mushroom Men


Elite Force (target clearance for 1.99, don't judge me!), Mystery Case Files, True Swing Golf and Picross 3D (all first party Nintendo titles)


Wario Ware Touched, Contra 4 (because Contra! Duh.), World Cup of Pool (Aksys, love em), America's Test Kitchen (Nintendo first party title) and Nanostray 1 & 2 (both are awesome games by the way, seriously, if you enjoy SHMUPS and have a DS of some sort find these games)


Planet Puzzle League & Polarium (Nintendo first party games)

As of this post I am only 5 games away from hitting the 200 DS games mark, I'm pretty sure I'll get there.

Moving on from the DS here we have some Wii games, and some random Nintendo goodies/swag:


Racquet Sports, Mario Sports Mix, Klonoa and Wii Play Motion with Wii Play Motion water bottle. I actually won that Wii Play Motion + water bottle from a contest Nintendo of America was holding via Twitter.


Rhythm Heaven Fever (such an amazing game), being guarded by the one eyebrowed Goomba!

I don't know why I wanted this so bad, but I did, and I finally got one at Toys R Us on clearance!

Epic Mickey Wii Charging Station. I mostly wanted it to go with my Epic Mickey Collectors Edition and Paintbrush nunchuck.

Anyone up for a game of checkers?

How's bout some Mario Checkers! I'm a sucker for Nintendo board game stuff.

Anyone else get the Club Nintendo Platinum award this year?

I was a bit underwhelmed when I first heard of this, but then when I received mine and saw how awesome it was with my own eyes I quickly changed my tune. Awesome retro button collection.

Speaking of Club Nintendo rewards, if you look closely you will see the other Club Nintendo Reward from last year:

It's on the left there, it's a 2012 calendar. Obviously not as cool as the buttons, but still cool in it's own way.

Starfox? Dog tags? Starfox dogtags?

Yep, Starfox dogtags. GameStop was offering these via there rewards program. Can't remember how many points I spent for them, but whatever they cost, it was totally worth it.

Good lord! OK, I think that's it. Seriously this time. I had some other Nintendo stuff but honestly, I didn't feel like digging it all out and taking pictures of it. Maybe one of these days I'll get around to it. Who knows.

So, anyone here sick of Nintendo yet? =)

I'll probably get around to doing another blog sometime next weekend, more than likely it'll be all Sony stuff, since I've been getting a ton of hard to find PS2 titles lately. We'll see.
