A few weeks back I posted a video about a dolphin named Winter that was getting a prosthetic tail after she lost it in a crab trap when she was only two-months old (damn you, crab traps!).

Well, the process is now complete and Winter appears to be happier than ever.

Honestly, this is one of the most amazing stories I have ever read. Although humans can be a-holes sometimes (i.e. the inventors of the crab trap), it is nice to know remarkably kind people like this exist in our world.

Not yet. I was supposed to do it in Cancun, but it didn't work out.
I am planning on taking a trip down to San Diego this summer to do it. :)

People who invented crab traps aren't evil. They are AMAZING!! For without these little cages, I could not enjoy succulent crab legs at Hooters. Actually, on further thought, I take back my pre3vious statement about how dolphins are cool in my book. Dolphins are the assholes of the sea. They lie in wait around the boat and destroy any fish that I release. No, I can't keep the fish, because it's too small or too large. I can't even scare the dolphins off before I throw the fish back in. Fish and wildlife almost gave me a citation for slapping an oar on the water to scare them off and give the poor little fish a fighting chance. as soon as I let the little guy go, it's foam and scales. So I say "fie on you dolphins!"
