So, I have been super busy and (sadly) away from my normal Destructoid duties the last few days, but I have some things on my mind that I wanted to get off my chest/ask you all about. Humor me and read on, will you? :) 1. World of Goo for WiiWare is one of the greatest games I have played in a long time. Do yourself a favor and download this game ASAP! If you don’t have enough space on your Wii hard drive, figure out a way to make some. If you are like me, it may be hard, but I think it’s time to say farewell to your beloved Pokemon Snap. 2. I cannot wait for the final retail copy of LittleBigPlanet. I have been excited about this game for a while, but after fooling around in the beta these last couple weeks I am completely hooked. From the almost deafening buzz and glowing recent reviews, the final game can’t come soon enough. If everything comes together like I think it will, this may just be my Game of the Year (if not my Game of the Century). 3. Question: Should I buy Dead Space? My backlog is getting ridiculously long already and there are still so many more games to come in these next few months. I had no interest in Dead Space, but the reviews have been fantastic and now I am giving it a second thought. Is it worth the money? I am this close to purchasing it, but wanted to get some advice from the people I trust the most (you all!). 4. Has Heroes lost it? I used to look forward to watching this show every single week, but last night’s episode just made me sad. Is it time to jump ship or should I stick around a little longer? No Heroes = one more hour of videogame time a week! I don’t know what to do! Anyway, thanks for listening. As a token of appreciation, here is a picture of me with my shirt off:

World of Goo sounded interesting - though odd, but now that it's thoroughly recommended, I'm there!
Little Big Planet does seem amazing...unfortunately I am PS3-less...but maybe someday.
I have no idea about Dead Space yet...I usually wait a while 'till everyone gets the griping out of their system, so you might want to wait 'till someone who buys brand-new games comes along...
Lastly, I work just in time for Heroes to come on...I wish I could watch more than the first season - but I have no idea what's going on at this point...
I'm not as excited about LBP as I originally was, but I suppose it's irrelevant since I don't have a PS3.
Honestly, I haven't picked up World of Goo for the same reason you're hesitant on Dead Space: too many other games taking up my time atm. I do plan on getting it asap though, though if Steam has a sale on it I'll likely scoop it up without hesitation.
As for the picture, I've never been hotter than I am right now... <3
I'm renting Dead Space sometime soon. I could see Saints Row 2 and pick it instead. Yes, you can still rent games. Unfortunately, my local cheap place has the same five or six 360 games that they've had since last year so I'll have to go to one of the chain stores that charge more and let you keep the game a few extra days. I'm excited to play it, but I'm not really in any hurry. Game does look fun though.
1. It does look tempting, but I haven’t turned my Wii on since I finished Zelda: TP. *Note- My Wii was left on for a week once, and I didn’t know because I never look at it. (neglected step child)
2. I did get a chance to play it, and it just reminded me of how uncreative I am. It’s a constant reminder that my Imagination=Fail
3. Every few months I take a look at my back \log and start cutting games to make things fresh( No More Heroes, Bionic Camano, Metroid, Lost odyssey) It gets out of control if you don’t.
4. Heroes has become a common Daytime Soap. Fail.
Anyway, thanks for Reading. As a token of appreciation, here is a picture of me with my shirt off:
The last 10 minutes of yesterdays episode happened so fast, and ended so quick, that I just think that they are trying to cram as much as they can in 1 hour. Boom Ando, boom Maya, boom Tracy, boom Nathan, boom Peter, boom Angela, boom lindermans "ghost". They are dropping like flies!
2. Again, absolute agreement.
3. dunno. I tend to adopt late stuff I wasn't interested in but started to get good reviews. I say get it later. or gamefly it if you can.
4. I disagree, I thought last nights episode was pretty decent. Yea, I'm not as jazzed for it as I once was, but I enjoy myself when I watch it. I think it's worth sticking out.
2. I can't wait to get the final version.
3. Not sure.
4. Never like Heroes. Watch 30 Rock (I seem to be the only one that likes it -_-).
No comment on the picture.
Either Pick up Dead Space and use the extra hour to shit your pants, or watch more House.
2. meh.
3. yes.
4. Black-hole man rocks... or rocked, I guess.
I need to download World of Goo. I loved what little I played at GDC when Anthony showed it to me.
I'm also faced with the dilemma of a huge backlog of games in addition to a huge deluge of games coming out. =(
Also I still really enjoy Heroes but it's not as great as the first season. In the first season you had all the characters on paths of self-discovery, trying to understand who they are and what they are supposed to do. You were really able to understand their feelings. It was a human drama. Now they're all like "Hey I'm superpowered and I need to stop everyone from ever doing anything bad." It's hard to watch when you don't know who is good and who is bad. It's also hard to get too attached to their future when it will more than likely be avoided. But hopefully things will start to pick up now that a central villain is being established again.
Also, poor Ando :(.
despite the fact you can re-download for free
so fear not chad!
pokemon snap shall live again!
Oh, and ditch Lost.
I'm in the same boat as you for dead space luckily I have gamefly and plan to give it a rent if I get a chance, so I suggest renting it if possible for now.
Also it was either SOM or world of goo for me and I had to go with SOM it was my first time and it's so friggin great I love it!
2. I don't own a PS3 so I don't know once again
3. I don't have any money, so I Goozex'd it. Needless to say I wont be getting it for months, so I don't know.
4. I don't watch Heroes, but I want to. Once again, I don't know.
Now I have a question for you, would you record yourself saying "Someone is calling and trying to tell you that you're AMAZING!" so I can put that on my phone as a ring tone?
2. Oh YES! I have my gamestop preorder code ready to rumble, I cannot be more excited either. This, Persona 4, and the new Animal Crossing will be the end of me.
3. It's a great game no doubt, but I'd wait for it if I were you. In a few months the hype will have washed away, it'll be easier to find, and maybe even cheaper.
4. Ugh I know. Sylar is cool but...I don't know. I'd say just hold off on it. Wait for it the season to end and just catch up on it if you feel like it. It's not totally worth your time anymore. It's lost direction IMO. I'd start watching Dexter instead.
P.S.
Any news on the Neo Geo? all this talk has got me interested in getting one after all the holiday rush.
4. I'm sticking with it. I find the bad stuff is usually hilarious ("TELL ME YOUR SECRETS!"), and every episode has at least a few moments of complete awesome.
Oh, and Chad, you are looking MIGHTY FINE these days <3
wait on dead space. you have PLENTY of games to play in the next coming months and scaring the crap out of you can wait until after you romp through LBP, Fallout 3, Fable 2, etc. etc.
Hiro should be Bruce Wayne by now. Instead he's some jerk that's basically retconned all the awesome he's been building up over the last two seasons. But Ando's so kick ass now!
And WTF is up with Mohinder? You're a got dang scientist! Test that ish out on lab rats first!
I want to dig this show, but they're really not moving anybody forward as characters.
It really is a shame. I'd say keep watching though. With anyluck, they'll actualyl kill a few characters and freshin the place up a bit before the season's done.
And this, a million times this, a thousand times this.
So many great games, so little time!
You've been working out?
I'm actually in the same situation, and seeing as how it's probably a 1-run game you might think about getting it used then trading it on goozex (or just get from goozex in the first place) Amazon has a "used" listing sarting at 25$ and it includes boxart and manual,GTFO.
Fuck I'v been such an amazon whore, lately.
