One Jump Ahead is a fantastic song. Alan Menken is awesome. Too bad he was replaced from "The Princess and the Frog" by John Lasseter and replaced with Pixar favorite Randy Newman ("FAT MAN WITH HIS KIDS AND DOG...").

@Chad, yeah, apparently the rumor is that John Lasseter was concerned that the old 1990s complaint that Disney does nothing but the same old fairy tale musical will pop up again and so he "requested" bringing in a new musical voice. Made me sad to hear that too, especially after hearing some great new stuff from him in "Enchanted." Man, listening to that podcast makes me want to go get tickets for "The Little Mermaid" on Broadway now. Still haven't seen it yet though I bought the CD.
If someone does a perfect rendition of this song in Japanese during Karaoke night, they should get a prize. Like free hugs, or free punches for a year. Which one will it be? I won't spoil the surprise.

I'm sorry Chad but the best Disney song of all time is without a doubt Hakuna Matata, after all it's not just a song it's a way of life. Oh and by the way the greatest Disney movie of all time is The Lion King. It's just the ay it is and it's time you accept it. :-)

I can't get behind you Hakuna Matata people. I just can't. After going to Kenya, I just hate that movie... Nothing against it per se, but I was so sick of the others in my group constantly saying.. "It's just like Lion King!" I felt the desperate need to slap faces. Also, in Swahili it doesn't have such positive connotations. Gotta say I am with Chad on this.

Silverdragon is 100% correct. The Lion King is the greatest Disney movie, and, in fact, one of the best movies ever. I do no say this remembering from my childhood; i say this from watching it last week :P.

"One Jump Ahead" is great because any time I play a video game and jump off some really high ledge I yell "ALL I GOTTA DO IS JUUUUUUUMP!" People normally have no fucking clue what I'm talking about.
