Unfortunately, Garison had an engagement that he couldn't cancel, so yesterday's recaps will be posted Monday. I would have covered him, but it's been a busy, busy day! A friend my wife's flew in last night, and she's here for the week. As such, all you're gonna git is Saturday's recaps, starting from 12AM Dtoid mean time!

In other news, I've been beating a ton of games that I've put off, or just completely missed at launch. I've just completed Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia, Cave Story, Ghostbusters, Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and X-Men Origins: Wolverine; and I'm currently working on Zeno Clash, Dead Space, Mass Effect, The Witcher, Half-Life 2 (omg!), Ninja Gaiden II (lost interest a while ago), COD4's single player, and Braid. All of these games I haven't beaten before. How do I accomplish this? One at a time folks, one at a time!

I also won a contest today!. Thanks to all who gave me a "congratulations" wish: I didn't expect to win!

*-Oh...my...God! This existed!?
*-I wept, then busted out Pokemon right after reading this piece from Bwark-Kupo.
*-Lotta topsauce tonight, fellas. I can relate to pascuz46's "favorite edged weapons" blog, because I was obssessed with swords and ninjas as a kid.
*-Our own Ashley Davis should just go into the children's book business, and put video games on the map!

A-It's been a while since thefil has blogged, so read this awesome article on Devil Survivor.

This is one of the coolest fight scenes I've ever witnessed. I bought the movie on DVD pretty much for this scene:

Speaking of Harry Potter, I think Takeshi hates me because I ruined the ending of Half Blood Prince by jokingly spouting the popular "kill" meme in a random blog he read. Takeshi, I'm sorry!

E-nilcam gives us an awesome recap of EVO 2K9 Day one. Thanks Nilcam!!! <3
E-whormongr made a snarky comment that inferred I shouldn't have won today's contest ;), but he has Robotron arts and crafts, so it's ok!
C-Destructoid's own Jonathan Holmes talks about all the awesome Wii games he's been playing. Get crackin' Holmes!
C-Aurion gives us an update on what he's been up to. Read it, and get to know him :D

M-snoogans775 wants you to listen to this awesome take on Kraid's lair.

T-NihonTiger90 muses on Street Fighter IV's nude code.
T-A "snapshot" review of WarioWare Snapped from DaedHead8. Ho ho! Snapshot!
T-Wild speculation of new World of Warcraft races, commence!
R-A nice 30-60 minute snap judgement on Battlefield 1943 by Relic Kylias. I'm always a big supporter of the philosophy of "read everything you can before buying", so read this if you're considering dropping 1200 space bux on the game.
N-NukaCola updates us on an awesome Final Fantasy speed run for autism. Check it out!
V-Barcode gives us another Broke Ass Gamer Episode, but censors the swearing. If done needlessly, swearing can be childish, but if done right (Spoony Experiment, Yahtzee), it can be hilarious!

R-Watch some old woman midly relate this post to video games.
R-This post is really weird. Some guy with the account name Super Ghosts n Ghosts posts a video entitled "Super Ghosts n Ghosts", then advertises Super Ghosts n Ghosts in his about me page. Spam fail? I mean, I don't feel like watching the entire two hour video, but it is a free movie!

Hoborg didn't blog today, folks!

LTE! Yes please! Universal Mind has always been one of my favorites. Do you have the "Evening with John Petrucci and Jordan Rudess"? If not, I'd highly recommend it.

Oh, right, there's a recap here! Thanks! Classy as always. And another congratulations on winning the contest! We're WINNERS.

Bleh, life can be a drag, but I suppose there are a lot of things you can't avoid. Ah well. Nice song choice, I dig the drums in that song. Actually, it sounds like something I'd hear from TMNT4: Turtles in Time, so that gives it some extra points.

I don't mind things Harry Potter, which I can't say for a good portion of my family. Most of my family are super religious and hate things that involve any form of magic. And they wonder why I usually prefer going to the theatre alone or with a buddy.

Also, Mag, I've been doing some drawing practice and I did a blog on it, and if it wasn't too much trouble, I'd like you to give it a look and tell me your thoughts on it. I figure you may have a better second opinion on these things than I do.

@Kauza
Indeed I do! I'd highly recommend it to everyone else as well, and I might have a song from it in a future recap.

@Jack
Haha np. It was an awesome drawing

@Pascuz
Well it was a good article!

Speaking of my backlog above, I just beat Zeno Clash. It was a pretty fun 6 hours or so :D

I was just listening to that album over again, and I thought I'd ask: Do you like the band Yes by any chance?

We don't share any games in our backlogs (at least we don't anymore now that you've beaten Zeno Clash) but I can't help but be reminded of my own which is too long and scary to list. I'll drop a few hints though, It starts with RE4 and includes FF12 and Morrowind. Too bad all I wanna do is play BlazBlue and the occasional XBLA game. =\

@Magnalon: You know it! Yes isn't necessarily among my absolute favorites, but Close to the Edge and Fragile are fantastic albums.

That's OK, man. It was just really hard to keep the spoilers away for such a long time. If it was in a blog about HP or something it wouldn't be too hard but some random blog... Yeah, I didn't see that one coming. I read all the comments on every single one so yeah, I couldn't protect myself from that. Which is basically the same for video games. Bioshock comes to mind. The whole "Atlas is..." meme kinda spoiled it for me.

But no worries man, you weren't the only one that spoiled it. And it's only Harry Potter.
