Hello once again my lovely Dtoiders! I knew you all couldn't get enough of me over the holidays, so here I am with a slightly belated Friday recap. :D
Why is this belated you ask? Well, for starters I was a bit sick last night. After a nap, despite still being sick, I thought it would be a good idea to play some Team Fortress 2 (try the free weekend! :D :D :D) to see the Demo/Soldier updates. 5 hours later, I realized I was a bit too out of it for the recaps. So here I am, watching Futurama commentaries and doing the recaps.
As someone who has played TF2 regularly for most of the 2+ years it's been out, you might be wondering what I think of the update. My initial impression is that it definitely changes up the way the characters are played. Losing the shotgun really cripples the soldier, but as a lone wolf reducing splash damage and having a potentially devastating melee attack (seriously... holy shit the Equalizer is powerful) make up for it. For the more group focused player the Buff Banner looks like it could be as good as a Kruber. For Demo the Targe and Eyelander really have made it into a different character. Haven't really seen enough of the Scottish Resistance, but even with the "slower" priming rate the idea of what looks like a pure upgrade for stickies still worries me.
Anyways, enough of that I'm going to wrap this up so I can fail at drawing and watch Little Nemo: Adventures in Slumberland. Happy holidays everybody! <3
