I don't normally use my power of recapping for evil, but I hope you'll all permit me this extravagance for a change. I've been mulling it over and have been thinking that starting an online Destructoid Pokemon tournament might be a lot of fun. I think it'd also be a lot of work though, so right now I'm just putting feelers out to see if there's enough interest to make it worth doing. If you're interested, would you kindly check out my cblog or the forum post and let me know? I think having 32-64 players participating would be the most fun, but I'm willing to go with as few as 16.



I went and saw Taken with some friends over the weekend, and I can't recommend it highly enough. It's a bit slow to get started, but once it gets going it doesn't let up until the ride is over. One of my friends exhaled mightily when the end credits began to roll, exclaiming, "I don't know about you guys, but I'm exhausted." It's THAT kind of a movie. No superpowers, no fancy gimmicks. Just 90 minutes of Liam Neeson kicking nine types of excrement out of some dudes who really, really deserve it.
