I recently got back into playing the first Theme Park game. It was this morning when I realised I'd been playing the game for over 5 hours and still hadn't gotten out of bed that I realised I may have something of an addiction going on. Especially when it took me another 2 hours to actually stop playing.

PSA, if you are somewhat lacking in money right now here's a little piece of prime advice.

DO NOT OPEN STEAM!

Seriously, the Steam winter sale (on until Jan 7th) is the sort of good that makes anal sex seem poor by comparison. If you're in the UK then here's a few prime picks, Braid, Audiosurf, Evil Genius and STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl are all under £2 each. There's a shitton of other stuff under £2 and an entire section for sub-£4 stuff (including Defense Grid, Mirror's Edge and the hilarious Time Gentlemen Please) so if you're a little strapped for cash you should maybe check that bit out at least. Some deals are changing every day, I believe you can get GTA4 for £5 for a few more hours.

So basically, if you've missed any PC exclusive game over the last 10 years, here's a nice cheap way of catching up. There's also the Good Old Games winter sale as well, their entire catalogue is still discounted and I highly recommend RPG fans check out Septerra Core while it's on the cheap.

Anyway, that's my bit for this week. Have an excellent Christmas everyone and I'll see you next week.

Oh yeah, also The Journalism Show with Geraldo Beedog is quite possibly the funniest thing I've seen on the internet all year. Except maybe people getting butthurt over Jim Sterling being Jim Sterling. People who know what his humour is like and pretty much rode his coattails to where they are today. Mentioning no names of course.

*ahem*

Yay Recap time!

Failtoid fans unite! Today was a brilliant day for Failtoiders. Some truly terrible stuff came out today and it's nice to see some fail breaking the trend of opinions and journalism.

Also, how much is Audiosurf going for? I might log into a PC somewhere and buy it to install on my laptop when it gets here. It's a fairly low spec title right?

The Journalism Show is great and funny. However, Jim licking the peripheral in the DJ Hero episode of his Videogame Show was also great and funny. I'm unsure which one I find more funny than the other. Those are some pretty nifty Steam sales.

Also, 'caps, how rad.

@Xzyliac

Audiosurf is £1.50 on the UK store, so expect about $2 on the US side.

I've never used steam, but so long as I don't need a subscription or anything I'll probably check out Audiosurf for that price. I still don't really know what it is, or whether my laptop could handle it!

If your laptop was made in the last five years, it probably can.

Steam sales 4 Lyfe. I picked up 6 games for under $50, can't beat that shit.

Thanks for the recap! I haven't appeared in one of these in months.

Oh man, I remember Septerra Core. That was a LONG time ago. I got about half way through that game and got stuck and never finished it. :-(
