I used to be a recruiter in the HR field and dealt with a lot of people who lost jobs, in all reality, most ended up with far better jobs than the job they lost. It sounds like this job wasn't for you (the commute and lack of enthusiasm for going to work), so maybe in the end this will work out for you with a much better job! Stay positive... and enjoy your time off over the holidays before starting a job search in the new year!
You may even find that the sleep and indigestion problems were caused by job stress... so maybe you'll get yourself healthy again! (though if those problems keep up, you may want to ensure you get to a doctor!).
