Slightly later recaps today because I had shit to do.

Ans so we enter the last month of this decade. As you should know, Dtoid has being doing a rather wonderful series about the best games of this decade. I personally think that Mother 3 should have won, but SotC was a worthy winner as well.

I'd also like to give a rousing welcome to Mk"The Tragic Clown"Shiranui. He has just joined the recap team. Let's all give him a welcoming rape.

Mk: I'm going to assume that was NOT a sarcastic laugh, and thank you for finding these recaps filled to the brim with humourosity.

Why do videos default to othertoid? If someone creates a good video, it would sit along side the LOL's blogs and the CBB's? If Jim was a community member, would that mean VGSWID would go in othertoid? If Anthony was a comunity member(rather then staff) would that mean rev rants would go into othertoid? The way its organized (and a comment on this recap blog "I dont want to watch your shitty video," and then something about how he should write it out) makes it seem that you think that videos are inherently inferior to words.

I'm not saying lols and random and ??? blogs don't have a place, but to put them next to videos, I don't understand.

"you think that videos are inherently inferior to words." I don't really understand this, but I'll try to explain. I personally do not think that videos are inferior to words. The thing is, most videos are just "Hey look I found this on youtube" and then say a bit about it. Henece, I usually put them in Othertoid. If the video was both irrelevant
and unfunny then I would throw it in Failtoid under the heading "I don't want to watch your shitty video".

VGSWID and RevRants are completely different. It's clear that Jim and Anthony put a lot of effort into their videos and if they were regular community members, then I would be putting them in Topsauce every time. But as far as I'm aware, no one in the community does things like that and so I just put everything (other than "shitty videos") in the normal video category.

@mouse Lolwoops. I checked what I was referring to and it was a CBB.

I was referring to videos made by the user, not random videos found on youtube.

Also, I made this video for my previous internet site. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qomdAXw363M Would something like this fall under othertoid, gametoid, or failtoid. (sorry for whoring the video, just wondering)

That would be a Gametoid.

I would never fail a user made video (unless it was truly rubbish.) As long as you gave a brief explanation of it, then it would be fine. And if you gave a very detailed explanation then it could end up under Topsauce!

Oh, if started making a blog and saved it that night, the Assassin's Creed II one if you follow my name. I didn't publish it until this afternoon and it got stuck as being made 16 hours earlier...

If you could add it as a Dec. 5 one that'd be sweet. I had no idea there were community recaps and this is pretty bitching.

@and0: Yeah, that's just one of the quirks of the c-blogs. The timestamp for your post is determined by when you open the editing page of a new post. I would recommend writing your posts in a text editor (Notepad, Notetab) prior to making a new post in your browser, then just cut and paste to avoid this in the future.
