Another week gone already, and it was a busy one. There was a lot of work to do, but fortunately it was all work I liked doing to a more or lesser extent. There were three essays to write or finish writing: one on the legal philosophical question of whether or not legal research is a science. My 3,500-word essay condensed into four? “Who the hell cares?” The second was an examination of a recent court case. It was a short essay, we had a 1,200-word limit, but it turns out that having so few words to tell your story in is actually much more difficult than just being able to elaborate on everything. Seeing as I tend to be slightly verbose (just slightly though), this was good practice. Finally, I’ve been busy with the working of competition law on hospitals and other health care providers. Now that one is nowhere near done yet, but I’ve made good progress this week. I want to have a good portion done by the end of next week so I can send it in to my supervisor for further comments. On top of all of that I even managed to come close to putting the final touches on a Cblog I want to post next week or so. I hope it’ll be good.
This is the first particularly busy week I’ve had in a while, and only now did I really see Project Curaga pay off. I managed to pretty well keep a schedule of starting my work at 9 or 10AM and staying more or less on track until the end of the day. I never would’ve been able to do that two months ago. It’s really quite surprising to me how much of an effect a simple thing like “go to bed on time” can have. For good behavior I rewarded myself every night with a good couple of hours of video games: mostly that one with all the monsters and the hunting. I forget what it’s called. Right now I’m rocking a full set of Volvidon armor, which gives a large attack and evasion bonus, and which I managed to adjust so it also gives more stamina. Always handy.
Oh, and it looks sweet.
I like the demon look on the female version.
I am thinking of taking the time out to slay a bunch of Gigginox for the increased monster exhaustion and the decreased stamina loss their armor set gives, except that Gigginox are dicks. Like, such massive dicks.
Fun fact: its weak point is its head. “Which side is the head?”, you ask? Exactly. Dicks.
Either way, there’s not much else for me to talk about unless you are massively interested in competition law in the health care sector or how big of a dick Gigginox is (such a dick), so let’s get cappin’!
* - Farewell Fap, we hardly knew ye. Fortunately, Zombie Orwell does everything in his power to keep the memory alive.
A - Kbirth is wondering about the announced Xbox reveal. It certainly doesn't seem like it'll have the punch the previous Xbox reveal had. No Elijah Wood, for one.
P - Faps or no faps, there will always be a Fapcast! Episode 12 with Strider, Phil and no Glowbear. Also Injustice. Lots of Injustice.
A - Strider examines the meta-game for Injusti-...goddammit Strider, can you and Injustice please get a room?!
A - Apparently the Virtual Boy had games on it, some of which may have even been decent...ish.
A - Here are some predictions for the Xbox reveal, all of which seem completely reasonable.
Don't you give me that look.
I - Christerious introduces himself to a game blog by saying he doesn't play much video games. It's okay though, it's only for time reason. Besides, he makes up for it with soundtracks and streams.
F - PC Friday Night Fights and Hot Dog Princess because Swishiee doesn't know what to talk about. LSP is where it's at man.
T - Oh shit, always-online is coming to WiiU now? I am so sad now.
A - Ray organized an event for a ton of artists to draw Zelda-related stuff. There's some really cool art in here.
A - It's certainly no Zelda, but Podtoid fan-art is cool too!
M - I've played so much of this game, but never noticed how good the music was! That doesn't happen to me very often. So thanks for sharing this Sonic Heroes song, amxwolf!
C - If you like Europa Universalis, killias has a promotion.
C - There's not much structure to this Bioshock blog.
May you always find water and shade
