I remarked last week that I'd burnt out on videogames. This week I got Pokemon Heart Gold. Problem solved. It's amazing not only how well Gold and Silver have aged, but also how much more I appreciate the game now I'm older.

Saying that, the Pokewalker may be the most evil accessory ever created. Everywhere I go I have to have the damn thing with me. I walk to work with it, change Pokemon, wear it during work, change Pokemon on my break, then change Pokemon again before I walk home with it. If the aim was to get people walking then mission accomplished I suppose. Also casually catching Pokemon with it while I'm taking a piss is hugely satisfying (excusing the splatter when a Dratini showed up earlier).

Parting thought directed at Nintendo Europe. CAVE STORY NAO.

* - Tubatic wrote a blog about being old and it's pretty good

* - I like this, the double jump is sometimes waaaaaay too picky

The only real challenge I'm facing right now for trades is just evolving Pokemon that only evolve when traded. In my active team that's Kadabra and Poliwhirl, but then Poliwhirl has the 2 3rd level evolutions so I need 2 Poliwhirls to ARGH!!

I�m not really familiar with the Pokewalker but couldn�t someone just leave it on the washing machine or something and rack up loads of steps when they�re busy? Just a thought...

Would the Pokewalker count steps if you spun it around in the air over your head? If so, tie it to a ceiling fan and rack up the...whatever it is you rack up with that thing.

I tried the usual shaking trick but it didn't register. Also tried it on the industrial washing machine we have at work and nothing there either. Seems through all my experience that as a pedometer it's pretty tamper-proof.
