Hello everyone! I've still been playing Dark Souls II. I've moved onto New Game+, and I really like what they're doing with New Games this time around. I'm having trouble with bosses that were a breeze the first time through the game, which I didn't really expect.
I started doing some co-op, now that I've beaten the game solo. Summoning is definitely a lot more reliable now, which is a huge relief! Even at a high soul level of 160, I'm still finding plenty of summon signs near bosses, and the connections almost always work out. I also haven't had too much trouble being summoned myself, although there are certain bosses where you'll have to stand around awhile before you find someone who needs your help.
I've only tried PvP a handful of time, and they always seem to be super quick duels, not lasting more than 10 seconds unless both players are being too careful. There's still some weird lag when it comes to attacks connecting though; I thought I was totally out of the way of other players' attacks sometimes, and yet they still managed to hit me.
In terms of multiplayer, I vastly prefer co-op, so I'll probably be doing that more than PvP anyway. Co-op play has worked seamlessly for me so far, so that makes me happy! I love being able to help out players who are having trouble with a boss that had previously given me a lot of frustration. It's a wonderful feeling!
In other news, Kill la Kill aired its final episode this week. It was an extremely satisfying anime, definitely one of my favorites! So many memorable characters, awesome music, ridiculously over-the-top action sequences... what a great show. I can't wait for an English translation, so I can spend more time looking at the animation and less time reading subtitles. Also, I hope Mako can get her own spin-off show someday; her and her family were so entertaining!
