Today I watched the amazing Studio Ghibli film, My Neighbor Totoro for the first time. It seemed different from the previous two Miyazaki films I had watched. Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away both seemed much more complicated of films than My Neighbor Totoro. In order to understand the first two, I had to watch each multiple times (and by multiple, I mean 5+), and I still don't completely get both them.
MNT is just a simple story about 2 young girls that live move to the countryside with their father, and have a sick mom in the hospital. Well, I guess it is a bit more complicated than that, but you for anyone who has seen all of the films together, you know what I'm talking about. That, or I'm just talking out of my ass.
EDIT: Hello! ScottyG here once again. Garison was having some internet troubles, so I volunteered to finish up the last remaining dozen or so cblogs and post it for him. Think of it as a nice, filling experience with Garisonism topped off by just a little ScottyGasm... just a little one.
