I got up painfully early today to take someone to the airport so I may as well recap while listening to a metal album I need to review. As you can see, I'm trying to be very productive this morning but I'm tired, my coffee is cold, and this album is far from good. I'm a little punchy this morning so let's talk about something I don't understand in video games.
Remember the first time you played an FPS and you could look down and see your feet? "Woah!" I though as I looked straight down in Halo 2 and jumped a few times. Problem is the way the animation was, all I could really see was the lower portion of the legs doing something that looked like a knees to chest type thing you see in the Insanity workout informercials.
Another thing is that your posture must be atrocious if that is all you can see. I look straight down, I can see most of my body, for better or for worse. I wonder at what angle you're craning your neck over, constantly. Even current generations games do this when the legs are included. Are characters models all designed like an early cro magnon man? Perhaps. Or maybe all video characters are actually Earthworm Jim.
