Hey all.

Have you played TF2 since the Engineer update went live? It's kinda like that. Quite a good time to work on your spy, demo and soldier skills, though.

Thanks to Deal North and my local Target's desire to clear out its Xbox 360 Arcade stock, I now find myself in an unexpected position; owner/operator of all three major consoles for this generation. Unsurprisingly, "Qalamari" had not been claimed, even 5+ years into the system's life cycle. I'd love to fill up my new 360's friends list with Destructoid people, so feel free to add me if you like.

Frank West and I have a mall full of zombies to go ape-dookie on, so let's get to this.

*-Nostaljourney is a great idea, and one I hope works out for all involved. I'm very much looking forward to whatever comes out of this.
*-This excellent piece on the longtime composer for the Dragon Quest series highlights both the good and the bad of Koichi Sugiyama.
*-This is pretty cool. Monodi shares information about a charity using withered technology to help kids in third-world nations.

A-Dr. Light ate your Magicite found a niggle to pick with the boss battles in Mario Galaxy 2.
A-JC83 took a moment to examine why he hasn't been able to involve himself more fully into any Massively Multiplayer games.
S-There may be a reason the games discussed in this week's Magnet School are obscure... Plus Plumb in particular sounds needlessly complicated.
M-BrunoDeckard's Musing looks at corporal punishment as it relates to a variety of game worlds.
P-Save and Reload is no more. CrimeMinister would like to join another Podcast, if possible.
P-Tardcast is a thing you can listen to. Please note it is not related to Tardiscast.

C- Beyamor went crazy and decided to give away some Microsoft moolah. Contests: they're like stealing, with permission.

E-Dtoid LA is having a Nerf NARP July 22, and Alex Barbastis is looking to hire an army.
E-DtoidMidwest is about a month out from their Cedar Point NARP. Rollercoasters!

R-HotCyder posted a couple of very good reviews. This one's for Crackdown 2...
R-...And this one's for Singularity.
T-Covah thinks the Dragon Age sequel doesn't look very pretty.
T-If the future of FPS's (and everything else) is RPGs, Apsup's not gonna have much to play pretty soon.
D-Thinking of becoming a game developer? Alex Vostrov has a few words of warning.

M-Garethxxgod picked up a couple of CD's on the cheap and breaks them down for us here.

To be fair, there's some fun for Pyros in burning Engies and their machines. Burning one alive while he's setting up a Level 1 Sentry or a teleporter is incredibly satisfying.
