Earlier this week I got an email from Amazon.com informing me that I had been invited into the Starcraft 2 Beta since I had pre-purchased a copy of the $100 Collector's Edition earlier this month. To say that I jumped up from my computer and screamed for joy like a little school girl would be putting my reaction mildly. Let's just say that I've been waiting for Starcraft 2 for a REALLY REALLY long time.

So I began playing the beta on Thursday night and I think I have become completely addicted. Last night I played till 3:30AM in the morning. When I finally decided to go to bed I couldn't actually sleep because I kept thinking about different strategies in my head. It eventually got so bad that I woke up and went back to my computer to play until 6AM in the morning. I haven't played a game till 6AM in the morning EVER ..... in my entire life .... and I'm 30, so that's a really fucking long life of gaming. Before this I think 4AM was the latest I ever stayed up playing a game.

Suffice to say, I am pretty sure I'm completely in love with Starcraft 2. The funny thing is, I completely suck at the game. I probably only win 25% of the matches I play online, so most of my time spent playing this game, is spent getting my ass kicked, yet I still enjoy it. That's just a testament to how incredible Starcraft 2 is. If any of you are even remotely interested in this game, I recommend you go preorder it and pick up a beta key and try it out.
