Hello, Destructoid. I trust you've had a pleasant weekend? I certainly did. Friday night I got to play some Uncharted 2 Co-op with Samit and AnonymousNoob, and yesterday my friends and I pretty much spent the whole day playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii, swearing (Oh, you'd better believe we were swearing) and making dirty jokes. It may not sell as many copies as Modern Warfare 2, but it's a fantastic title and one that belongs in any Wii owner's library. The game really shines if you have three people with even a rudimentary understanding of video games nearby. Something we've almost lost in this age of internet-enabled consoles and online multiplayer is the fun factor involved in having your friends within arm's reach. There's something about having your buddies playing in the same room with you that just can't be duplicated with an online connection and a wireless headset. Nintendo understands that. Don't get me wrong... I love online multiplayer too, it certainly has its place. It'd be nice if developers could implement both on and offline multiplayer in all of their games, but unfortunately the cost is often prohibitive. I just wish Nintendo and Microsoft would learn from each others' successes, so we could play Smash Brothers Brawl on a stable network, and play Ghostbusters or Left 4 Dead with 4 of us all on the same screen. Wishful thinking perhaps, but a man can dream.

A post-release petition to the makers of what has already become the best selling game of the year is even more doomed than most... Activision has literally no reason to do what you want, because they already have your money.
