Cast your mind back 48 hours, gentle reader. It seems so long ago, does it not? A simpler time. A time before Brutal Legend & Uncharted 2. A time before internet fanboys got pissy about the reviews for the aforementioned games.

We do apologize for the lack of service over the last couple of days. There was a misunderstanding at Recap headquarters, magnified by an uncharacteristically heavy storm that knocked out my internet service. Shan't happen again.

*-Walkyourpath channeled Sir James of Sterling when writing this writeup of the finest game of his generation. Don't stop believing.
*-Y0j1mb0's semi-response to Megastryke's post about immersion is well worth a look.
*-It's rare that Scary Womanizing Pig Mask writes a blog, but when he does the results are worth the wait. This analysis of Giygas is mindboggling.
*-Canti-Sama's list of gaming pet peeves is something I think we can all relate to. Wil Wheaton said it, and Jesus agrees: Don't be a dick.
*-Sheppy's fast becoming one of my favorite bloggers around here. This piece on why Epic Mickey won't necessarily suck on the Wii is another reason why.
*-Kauza's piece about status effects has already been promoted, so you know it's good.

A-Covah went in-depth on some of the major upcoming releases. Even with everything getting pushed into 2010, this year's still looking goddamn expensive.
S-Nihontiger90 broke tradition by telling you what to get. Just kidding, as usual, he asked What'd You Get?
M-CWal37's Musing doesn't quite fit the mold, but it's a personal story of exploration and life apart from pixels and polygons.
S-Tanukitsune crossed Resident Evil 5 off his backlog list.
P-Failcast episode 49 is now available.
