Yes, we are working on the header issue
Welcome, one & all, to the sideshow that is...The Recaps. On this...so-so Monday, we have a smaller number of recaps than usual. However, we do have a proposition for y'all.
Recently, Dtoider taterchimp had a blog go up called Save State. It was meant as a spiritual successor to Memory Card. For those of you who aren't familiar, it was a series by the wonderful, and very missed, Chad Concelmo. (Who now works at GolinHarris, as a writer for Nintendo. Don't worry too much) Anyway, Memory Card was a series focused on one particular moment in a videogame. That moment ties something together, or blindsides you, or makes you laugh, cry, or drop your jaw. Every one is different for every game, but the moment definitely changes you in some way. It will stick with you forever. That was the essence of Memory Card.
With the goal of dissecting and honoring these moments, taterchimp hopes to keep the spirit alive. But, he doesn't have to do it all by himself, right? As a matter of fact, he had the idea of making Save State a communal exercise. That's yous guyz! Our
I think that sounds lovely. If you do, too, or if you have some other ideas for this series, PM taterchimp. How bout some CAPS while you think about it?
* - Save State episode 2: Antichamber, by taterchimp. Videogames don't have to play by any rules, but we can only know what rules they disregard by using the rules that exist in our mind. Our frames of reference are at once a plaything and a prison. Enjoy!
M - Landshark weighs in on our violence musing by telling us how foolish it is to even have the discussion. He uses pictures very effectively :)
S - OpiumHerz has another installment of "The worst thing about censorship..." This one has a focus on the uncut version of Bioshock Infinite that made it to Germany.
M - OpiumHerz has a musing entry. Co-written by his Dark Passenger.
S - SnakeDude4Life returns to Dtoid's C Blogs, unfortunately to tell us about his hard times. Hope you find a job soon, bud.
V - TroyFullbuster tries his hand at video reviews. This first one is for Halo 4.
T - How To The Moon changed nutsnbutts' life.
R - PSA for all Canadians (and possibly others) from Skid Row Trash, in relation to some good internet service deals.
