By the time this goes up, it probably won't be Monday, so, good day to you whenever it is! Being the sucker that I am, and a special kind of sucker: the Nintendo fan, I got SMB3 on the Wii U this past week. It was only a buck for me, so I couldn't not get it. As ever, the Virtual Console is perfect for tv or off-tv play. (Advance Wars omg)
Playing SMB3 for the millionth time was still pretty cool. Even so, I have some minor gripes with it. There's seemingly no way for player one to use the gamepad, and player two to use a Wiimote. I couldn't get that to be a thing. I thought that would have been worked out by now. I hope I'm not just being extra stupid...
Also, and again, this could just be me, but the difference in lag was messing with me. I've played the Mario games more than anyone should, so I don't think it's my imagination. I had the same problem with Wii U versions of the other Mario games. It's small, but causes me to sometimes completely miss jumps! I'm starting to miss the old hardware. For multiple reasons now.
So uh...where was I going with any of this? I don't know. I guess we could do some reCAPS while you're here. How's that sound?
