I made this video for class! Tell me what you think!
Note about the portals. I know they look kinda weird, but that class had a programming requirement where we had to write some script to make an effect, and that was the only thing would couldve done with a script. Enjoy! read more

Star Wars: The Forced Unleashed II:
Force Powers Interview Kirby: Epic Yarn: Castle Tutorial Two player gameplay Dead Space 2: 15 minute demo that makes me actually want to play the first Dead Space. For those who've been following, it finishes the demo that was during the EA press conference Demo Deus Ex: Human Revolution: Having never played any of the previous Dues Ex games, I really had no idea what to expect from it. No gameplay was shown, but from what I saw in the trailer, its a sci-fi dystopian universe. I would highly recommend taking a look at the trailer: Trailer Interview Dead Rising 2: Dead Rising was the first game I played on the 360. its an open world (ish) zombie game that really highlighted the different ways to kill zombies Weapons interview Gamplay part 1 Gamplay part 2 Gamplay part 3 Gamplay part 4 Epic Mickey: Developer Walkthrough Part 1 Developer Walkthrough Part 2 Pirates of the Caribbean:Army of the Damned: Intro Gamplay 1 Gamplay 2 Gamplay 3 Gamplay 4 Tron: Evolution: Looks decent. Disclaimer: There be no journalism here! For those looking for insightful discourse, turn away! Ye be warned!
The Legend of Zelda: The Skyward Sword: Its finally here! A Zelda on the Wii that controls like a Zelda on the Wii should. I’m not going to waste your time, so here are the links: Shigeru Miyamoto’s live demo: (unfortunately, there is some interference (or bugs) with the controls during the demo. But its still awesome: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-zelda-skyward/101489 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-zelda-skyward/101491 Trailer: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-zelda-skyward/101467 Gameplay videos: http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-new-legend-of-zelda-skyward-sword-videos-176642.phtml http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-zelda-skyward/101652 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-zelda-skyward/101654 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-zelda-skyward/101656 Donkey Kong Country Returns: I’ve never played any of the Donkey Kong Country games, but I’m excited to see it come back. It’s a standard 3d side scrolling platformer, but with that Donkey Kongy kookiness. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-donkey-kong/101483 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-donkey-kong/101647 http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-hands-on-with-donkey-kong-country-returns-176628.phtml Golden Sun: Dark Dawn: The first two Golden Sun games are some of my favorite JRPGs ever, let alone for the Game Boy. To see the series come back on the DS is very nice. Although I was a bit disappointed that they are making it with 3D graphics. I wish they had kept the 2D sprites, but after seeing it in motion, it doesn’t look that bad. Either way, I’ll be keeping an eye on this title. http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-golden-sun-dark-dawn-out-this-holiday-season-176629.phtml http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-golden-sun/101752 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-golden-sun/101750 Metroid: Other M: August can’t get here soon enough. Metroid: Other M impresses me more with every video I see. I loved Metroid Prime, but this game looks like it might bring back some of the awesomeness that is Super Metroid. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-metroid-other/101481 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-metroid-other/101658 http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-hands-on-with-metroid-other-m-in-this-video-176646.phtml Kirby: Epic Yarn: Kirby is probably the most underappreciated Nintendo heroes, and to see him finally get a current gen game is super exciting. I was a little off put by the graphics at first, but as the trailer went on, I realized that this is one of the best looking games on any platform. But don’t take MY word for it… http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kirby-epic/101479 http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-amazing-hands-on-with-kirby-s-epic-yarn-176571.phtml Epic Mickey: Mickey finally gets a current gen game he deserves. This game has a darker look than you would think a game about Mickey Mouse would have, but it just makes it feel more…well…epic. This is not to say that this is a gritty, mature Mickey Mouse game, but its not all sunshine and lollipops either. I’ve been really impressed with Disney Interactive Studios lately. Hopefully they can keep up the good work! http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-epic-mickey/101616 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-epic-mickey/101477 http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-preview-epic-mickey-176489.phtml Goldeneye: Goldeneye has been remade for the Wii. I am one of three people who didn’t really like the first one, so I don’t really care about the remake, but I know that some people might, so I included it here anyway. http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-goldeneye-007-wii-shows-off-its-updates-176591.phtml Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo’s biggest announcement is their 3DS. It’s a Nintendo DS…but in 3D!...with NO GLASSES!. That’s right, NO GLASSES! How does it work? I have no clue. But from what people are saying, it works fairly well. This might be the tipping point I need to get back into the handheld market. I can’t wait to try one of these out for myself. Also, they are getting a ton of 3rd party support, and are making Ocarina of Time 3D! http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-3ds-is-here-176531.phtml http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-quick-hands-on-with-the-nintendo-3ds-176547.phtml http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-nintendo-3ds/101748 killzone 3 Ive never played any of the killzones, but I have always admired how pretty they look, and this is no exception. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-killzone-3/101534 playstation move Sony’s big announcement was the Playstation Move. Which is essentially what you would get if the Wii knocked up the Eyetoy. Apparently its way more precise that the Wii, but they never show it use much of that precision, other than in a golf game. And the only way they showed it was precise was the guy missed a ball a couple of times. So, its better because it makes golf games harder to play? As of now, I cant really find very good videos of the Move in action, so here are some of the games they showed: Sorcery If Fable knocked up Harry Potter, you would get Sorcery…probably nightmares, but mainy Sorcery. It looks like a standard spell casting game, only you move the Move to cast spells. It actually looks pretty good, and it’s sad that this is the best game that they showed with the Move. http://ps3.ign.com/dor/objects/77828/sorcery/videos/e310_sorcery_demo_061510.html Tiger Woods: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-tiger-woods/101588 Heavy Rain on the Move Heavy Rain is going to be updated to allow the use of the Move. This just shows how you can control the game with it. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-heavy-rain/101764 Kevin Butler: Kevin Butler has been my favorite thing about Sony lately. You might know him from that guy in those commercials, but he always cracks me up. During the Sony Press Conference, he came out onstage and gave an epic speech to the audience. Here is the video: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-sony/101566 Little Big Planet 2: LBP2 was announced earlier in the year, so this isn’t really a surprise. But this is a video of things that are possible in the game, and I gotta it’s a bit stunning. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-littlebigplanet-2/101568 Playstation Plus: Sony’s verison of Xbox Live Gold. $50 a year for free stuff like demos…or avatars…or….some other stuff. Personally, I don’t see the point, but I’m sure some people like it? Question Mark? http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-playstation-plus-is-coming-at-the-end-of-the-month- 176577.phtml http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-playstation-network/101572 Portal 2 on PS3: Valve’s “Big” announcement at E3 that they’ve been hyping up for weeks is that Portal 2 is coming to the PS3, saying how it will be the “Best Portal 2 experience on a console” with their Steamcloud and updates. Since Valve has gone on record with their hatred for console (PS3 in particular), so I guess I can see how this is a big shock, but I could help but feel underwhelmed. C’mon Valve, where is Episode 3 already? But anyways, the game looks awesome. The announcement: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-portal-2/101576 Gameplay: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-portal-2/101563l http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qQLpU0T-Sow Assassins Creed multiplayer Assassin’s Creed has become a guilty pleasure of mine. 80% of my time in AC1 was spent jumping off roofs and killing innocent civilians, and now that I can do that in multiplayer sounds amazing…that is, if I actually liked online multiplayer. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-assassins-creed/101580 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-assassins-creed/101703 GT5 There was a trailer and a statement that it was going to be in 3D. And it comes out in November 2010. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-gran-turismo/101184 Infamous 2 Again, it was announced earlier, so all the surprise was gone. But the trailer looks cool. You reprise the roll of Cole “scruffy voice” McGrath. And it looks like get weapons and even a new power! http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-infamous-2/101600 Twisted Metal: A new Twisted Metal game was announced. Looks pretty neat, but I don’t really care that much. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-twisted-metal/101574 Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned: If Fable knocked up pirates, you’d get Armada of the Damned…and my screenplay…not much has been shown, but keep a weather eye out. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-potc-armada/101192 http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-pirates-of-the-caribbean-armada-of-the-damned-176490.phtml The rest is videos and articles about things that I’ve already talked about. So enjoy! Pre-E3
power gig: Power Gig is a new music game from Seven45 Studios. The gimmick here is that the controller can also be used as a real electric guitar. As a controller, however, it appears to be the same as a regular guitar hero controller, only with 6 strings. The drums, however, are what concern me most. The get up is a pad on the floor, and you drum the air above a certain sensor. The lack of a physical response seems odd to me. I don’t know why they bothered with a real guitar. They should’ve just have you strum an air guitar along with your air drums. Then call it Kinect Music. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-power-gig/100989 Rockband 3: Here is the music game I’m excited about. I’ve been saying there should be a Keyboard Hero ever since Guitar Hero 2’s loading screen said there will be an Accordion Hero in 2008. They pro mode instruments look pretty stellar. Though I don’t know how they are going to represent 102 possible notes of the pro guitar on screen. http://www.destructoid.com/rock-band-3-revealed-with-keyboard-controller-175978.phtml http://www.destructoid.com/pre-e3-keyboards-and-pro-instruments-for-rock-band-3-detailed-priced-176055.phtml Fallout: Las Vegas: New Fallout. New location. Same gameplay. Honestly looks more like an expansion than a sequel. http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-fallout-new-vegas-shows-off-its-gameplay-176250.phtml Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II: This is just a CG cutscene, but it still kicks so much ass. http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-force-unleashed-ii-gets-its-e3-trailer-176196.phtml New Mortal Kombat Game: http://www.destructoid.com/here-s-your-mortal-kombat-debut-trailer-176015.phtml (on a side note, theres a Mortal Kombat video floating around the internets. its 7 minutes long, and made with a budget of $7500 and is one 1e10 times better than both Mortal Kombat movies combined): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_MqZn7E-mk Microsoft Xbox 360 Slim: http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-here-it-is-the-new-xbox-176371.phtml Kinect (aka Project Natal): Kinect is Microsoft’s answer to the Nintendo Wii and this motion sensing, easy to use trend that’s been going on lately. While it supports some impressive technology, all the games that have been shown so far have not done anything to convince me that this wasn’t anything more than just a fancy way to flip through menus. Microsoft spent a bajillion dollars on a fancy schmansy reveal, including the cast of Cirque du Soleil http://www.destructoid.com/video-of-microsoft-s-cirque-du-soleil-crazy-event-176330.phtml More Kinetc stuff: http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-project-natal-called-kinect-games-revealed-176268.phtml http://video.destructoid.com/#164357 [b]Kinect Demos:b] http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect/101283 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect/101283 Kinectimals: This uber cute tech demo-- I mean game, looks quite impressive, but will only appeal to those under 10 or are female. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinectimals/101291 Kinect Sports: Just like Wii sports...really no need for an explanation http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect-sports/101325 Kinect Joy Ride This is a racing game that you control by pretending you are driving the imaginary car that you owned when you were five. This game demonstrates my biggest problem with Kinect so far. Without some sort of force feedback, you can get a good feel for how to drive a car. It completely takes you out of the experience. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect-joy/101299 Kinect Adventures: Just a bunch of mini games showing off Kinect’s tech. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect-adventures/101344 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect-adventures/101356 Your Shape: The first fitness game announced. Like all the other games announced, the tech behind it pretty neat, but its still nothing that I would buy. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-your-shape/101376 Dance Central: Picture this: Guitar Hero for dance! While I could probably never play this game, it looks like a lot of fun. This is one of the only games for Kinect that looks like fun and that cant be replicated with a controller. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-dance-central/101297 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-dance-central/101295 OMFG STAR WARZ!!1!!1!!: I really want to be excited about this game. After all, it’s the only Kinect game so far to appeal to my nerdiness. But there has been far to little footage of it to really impress. And there are so many things that can go wrong. For instance, how does your character move? Is it on rails? http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-kinect-star/101301 Forza: Another racing game. The neat trick here is that you can move you head shift your view to look around corners. If only they can have that while using a controller to steer. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-forza-kinect/101303 Call of Duty: Black Ops: Treyarch’s Call of Duty games are often overshadowed by Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfares, but they still put out a pretty decent game. Its something to keep an eye on. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-call-of/101273 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-call-of/101260 Metal Gear Solid: Rising: While it was sad to see Solid Snake go, I am looking forward to the hacky slashy action of this game. Bit of news: series creator, Hideo Kojima passed the game design reigns to some other guy for this game. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-metal-gear/101271 Fable 3: Fable 3 is coming out October 26th, so be prepared to get extremely hyped and have your expectations raise to ridiculous hights only to have them crushed by mediocrity…again… http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-fable-iii/101279 Halo Reach: The new Halo game looks like….another Halo game…mixed with Sar Fox…which is never a bad thing in my book. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-halo-reach/101277 EA: bullet storm: Crazy over the top FPS action. Its like Burnout with bullets. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-bulletstorm/101397 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/debut-gameplay-bulletstorm/100171 Star Wars: The Old Republic: As with the first Star Wars game on this report, its just a CG cutscene. But oh, what a good CG cutscene it is. (Star Wars: The Old Republic is a Star Wars MMO and is the only MMO that I’m excited about) http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-star-wars/101161 dead space 2: If you liked the first dead space, you’ll probably like this one. Seeing as how I’ve never played this first one, I cant really say anything about it. So heres a demo: http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-dead-space-2/101337 Ubisoft: Assassins Creed: Brotherhood Looks pretty good, but not a whole lot of info on it at the moment. http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-assassin-s-creed-brotherhood-gets-trailer-date-176332.phtml http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-assassins-creed/101399 Children of Eden: Who says all music games have to be about rock and roll? Why can’t they be about acid induced that looks like Speed Racer through a kaleidoscope? Well now they can. http://www.destructoid.com/e3-10-trailer-for-spiritual-sequel-to-rez-looks-amazing-176384.phtml ghost recon: Future Soldier: a stealthy military shooter game. Not much more to say. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-ghost-recon/101439 http://www.gametrailers.com/video/e3-2010-ghost-recon/101441 So that’s day one down.
