Yeah, it's mainly to serve as a recap, as this is episode 1, but certainly is not the first event to take place in the storyline. [WINK WINK]
Also I know some of the dialogue is cheesy.
Thanks for your comment. This was perhaps a bad decision of mine, especially of the episode that's intended to grab the watchers' attention, to confuse them so much. My friend also told me this, so you're not alone here on this.
There will be no huge blocks of text in episode 2, or even small ones, and more of the pieces will fall into place.

I wish I could say that was intentional.
As a result, it's hard to follow and I'm not even sure I'm interested enough to follow it.
There's a kernel of a good story in there, so cut most of the text out and do more "showing" as opposed to 'telling".
