About
Hello, I am Trevor.

I live in Seattle, WA.

It's freakin awesome here.

I can do stuff, lots of stuff.

I could probably be your friend.

If that's something you'd be into.

Either way, I love you.

I never thought I'd have so much fun tying piranhas to tress, frying sharks with toasters, and sticking mice in ovens without some kind of repercussion, but Scribblenauts has given the world the ability to virtually pursue all of their guilty pleasures, and not without reward!

I've only had Scribblenauts for a day and a half, (and honestly I've spent more time messing around with the opening page than playing the actual game) and I've only gotten through world 2. Now some of these puzzles actually make you think, not everything has a quick fix. One such level, Action Level 2-2, gave me a bit of a tough time. You are supposed to get a Starite without setting off a chain reaction of explosions that ultimately explode your sought after treasure.

So, I try a couple things, i fail, so i decide to try a teleporter.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I clicked "ride" from the action options, and it took me, not to the Starite, but to another world, still labeled "2-2". To be more precise it was an room with an office kind of feel to it, and inside I found six unique people sprites (the only female being a zombie for some reason). I hit the "Identify" magnifying glass button to see what they were.

Lo and behold! It's the genius team of our beloved game in sprite Scribblenaut avatar form sitting in their 5th Cell office!

This little tidbit was enough to get me all giddy, but since the alternate universe was still labeled as "2-2" I HAD to check other levels to see if there was a difference.

There is.

Every Level has their own distinct alternate world that the teleporter takes you to. I learned a lot of new words this way. And in addition, the "Time Machine" has a similar function that takes you to even ANOTHER world (but its the same world for every level, some medieval world).

The crew that made scribblenauts is just one awesome easter egg I found, who knows how many more there are! Keep a look out and share them! I love this game!

I can't wait till I get my copy from Amazon. The game looks so fun!
I want.
I feel like I cheated that one level because I beat it so fast. lol I have been trying to think of something like a teleporter this whole time, definitely wanna see more stuff like this. Oh and the time machine will take you to other places than the middle ages :P
Try bringing up a portal and see what happens ;)
AGH, fine! I'm buying this!
I found that one too. Did you ever solve 2-2?
This game is awesome. I was playing it last night and caught the attention of my wife. We spent a good hour on the intro screen, thinking of various things to spawn.
The last two days in a row I have completely drained my DS battery playing this game. If that's not love, what is? Also, like Crocbox said, the Time Machine takes you to a few different levels. They aren't labeled though so I'm unsure if there is anything to do or find. So far I've found three levels this way, a space level with lots of aliens, a dinosaur level and the medieval level. I hope there are more. Time to go play with the teleporter, since I haven't tried it yet.
If you type "Game of the Year", a Scribblenauts cartridge appears.
Protip: Bomb shelters don't protect you from nuclear weapons as well as I would have hoped.

How else am I supposed to clean up the park AND kill a fly?
I found it using the teleporter in the title screen , I was like ZOMFGLOL and then I was like SHIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET that's clever. I proceeded in killing all of the developpers.

Happy times ! ^_^
are you sure it wasn't a watermelon?
@RonBurgandy: yeah, I used a rope to pull one of the boxes away from the hole, used a shovel to dig through and fell off to the side, and then jumped over the land mine to get the starite.

And as it DOES turn out, the teleporter doesn't take you to nearly as many places as I thought, and yes... right after i made this post i found out that the time machine DOES take you to a few different levels. no word on a portal yet, I haven't tried it.
Just tried "portal", awesome!

Yeah, despite a few annoyances, Scribblenauts is the most fun I've had on the DS in a long time. Though I've still yet to encounter the combat situation that can't be solved with a flamethrower on pterodactyl-back.
Hahaha!Pterodactyl seems to be the most versatile creature ever, I've solved quite a few puzzles with that guy.
Nope, Time Machine also spans Dinossaur Era...
