Its the shotgun. The small bit above it is the soldiers bandolier. Theyre similar colours so at that angle, it looks like part of the gun.
I should add, though, thats some good spotting nevertheless. You should have a look at the sandvich movie at the end, see if you can spot anything interesting there. Im going to :P.
