Same deal again this week, at 8pm cst I will lock and reboot the server for Destructoid use only. Nothing special tonight other than to play with only dtoid people. Could do a few custom maps if people want.

I'd also like to take a moment to answer a few questions Ive seen popping up in the comments....



Q: Will the server be passworded?

A: Only on special events, TF tuesdays, FNF, ect.


Q: Will you ever increase capacity?

A: Possibly, depends on money situations in the future


Q: I can't get into the server, its full!

A: Thats not really a question, but because its a public server anyone is entitled to play at any time, theres not enough dtoiders to fill the server every night and its better to play with a full server than two tiny teams on a passworded server every night.

Just because I set it up for the community does not mean that everyone will get to play on it 100% the time that they want to. Its the same for a good deal of 'community servers' and from what Ive gathered from a friend who admins the 'SteamFriends' community servers, when they are full you just ask an admin to boot someone, and if they know you as a regular you'll likely get in, otherwise, you just have to get in queue like everyone else.


Q: How can I get into the server when its full?

A: Try the auto-join, at least when watching the sever over HLSW, I find that slots tend to cycle semi-fast. The larger the server the more likely someone will leave in the next few minutes. You could also PM me over steam (or in the future other admins) and ask me to boot someone. Even I haven't had to wait more than 10 min to get a slot, and I have never booted anyone to make room for myself.


Q: When will you adding more admins?

A: Likely in the next two weeks when I get a mod with a login when I can limit admin's powers as I'm not giving out any sort of permanent rcon password to people.


Q: How can I get admin?

A: Ive already got a few people in mind, but if you've been an admin in the past and have experience that would up your chances. The other two things I like to see are people that play regularly, and people who seed the server. Seeding just means to go into the server when theres no one in it and attempt to fill it.
