One new map tonight, cp_cube_b15, get a tic-tac-toe on the control points to claim victory, looks amazingly well done and very fun.
Other than that, just the general arseing about as usual, maybe a pick-up or some RPS depending on what people are in the mood for. Hopefully we can get some more rounds of Aqua in as well, last week was an epic match.

Tonight will be a beta test of ZargonX's map, cp_secretbase. A lot of changes have went in since the first test we did and its shaping up very nicely. If all goes well we may just see it hit rotation for a period of time. Please download the map prior to tonight here.

Been a while since we had a decent theme name, tonight is Orange maps and Orange maps only. Pulled a bunch off FPS banana, and some you may recognize, others may be new to you. Most of them can be found on this page of maps or this one.

With the increase to 25 slots on the server, you will need to do something a little more technical to access your reserved slot. In order to keep the server listed, the maximum players you will see in your browser is 24, the 25th is a hidden connection slot. If you attempt to join when it is 24/24 it will not allow you to.
In order to use the 25th slot you MUST CONNECT MANUALLY
1) Start TF2
2) Open the Console
3) type connect 8.12.20.112:27015
or
3) type connect tf2.ams-sec.org:27015
You need not memorize the IP, in the view server details window you can see the IP and copy/paste it from there into console.
This setup is better overall because it allows there to be even teams during pub times, and it does not discourage casual browsers, previously if a pubber would try to join at 23/24 they would get immediately booted and this is not necessarily good for the servers image, or retaining players.

HLTV didn't work out last Friday but we'll give it another go. Tested it today and it appeared to work, but we'll see when we actually put it into practice, might still experience the same problem.
If you haven't noticed, the slot size on the server has gone up by one, this should allow for even 12v12 teams during pub time, and during FNF/TFT a slot for HLTV recording if I can ever manage to get it to work.
Finally got around to cleaning out the map list, Ill post an updated map pack come Friday.
New Maps:
es_cave - GOLDRUSH, custom mappers figured out how to do it before Valve officially released anything, fancy that
cp_roswell - sorta reminds me of cs_italy, gravel pit style layout
ctf_torch - TFC favorite, we'll see how it plays, I don't like that grabbing the flag makes you run at like 66% speed.
cp_tower - looks like a bit of a gag map, but it could prove to be fun.

If you have not been coming out, you have no idea what you have been missing, machinema, rock paper scissors, pick-ups, and general shenanigans.

Its open to the public and we’ll be using it to post announcements for things like FNF, TFT, Machinema filming, and co-op nights among other things. Starship has been taken off rotation, you can still vote for it however. Still have not gotten around to doing spring cleaning on the map list, this will happen eventually.
I’ve also been seeing the server get very full very fast, while this is great, we can only have 24 people participating at any one time, so below I’ve listed an IP for an overflow server that a friend of mine runs. If the server is full, do the following…
1) Join the overflow server
2) Open the server browser menu, double click on the destructoid server and click ‘auto-retry’ and then click ‘join as soon as a slot is available’
3) Hit Esc to close the menus, this will allow you to continue to play TF2 with other dtoiders while you wait for a slot in the main server to open.
