Well, maybe not so many words, not at all really. He wishes.
Okay maybe Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen was a bit awful. Sequels need to cater to a series’ strengths, and as far as Transformers is concerned those two things are awesome action scenes of large robots beating one another violently and Megan Fox. Sadly, both of these elements were downplayed in the sequel for emphasis on comedy and a shoddy plot. Never mind though, it got Megan Fox into the media again and this time she’s discussing videogames with What they Play.
I found the
interview interesting mostly because of how it conflicts with her co-star Shia LaBoeuf’s
comments from earlier this week about the Wii being an amateur console. She starts off the interview talking about SNES and Mortal Kombat, two of my favourite things ever, but let’s get down to business...
WTP: What are your thoughts on all of the video games for girls they're releasing these days?
Megan Fox: Like what?
WTP: Like Wii Fit.
Megan Fox: Why is Wii Fit for girls?
WTP: Because it's all about Yoga and stuff.
Megan Fox: And yoga is about girls? I know who would disagree with that statement. Sting. Sting would tell you that's not true. That's why his ass looks the way it does. He's done years of yoga.
WTP: What are your thoughts on the Wii getting kids active?
Megan Fox: I'm totally a fan of the Wii, I'm just not good at it. I actually have a Wii Fit and it's actually a really hard workout. It's pretty interesting. I think it's amazing you can combine exercise and gaming. There really are games like Raving Rabbids and there are these little missions that you have to do where you run. You're running with your arms but I swear to God I was so out of breath after every time I completed a mission. It really gets your cardio workout and it's a video game, which sounds crazy. But I think that's amazing. I hope we keep heading in that direction.
WTP: They just came out with Punch-Out for Wii.
Megan Fox: Yeah, you'll have to punch in the game, which will be exhausting.
WTP: And EA Sports Active just came out which adds cardio workouts like crunches to the mix.
Megan Fox: Oy Veh. I don't know if I can keep up.
WTP: What do you like playing on Wii for fun?
Megan Fox: I love Lego Star Wars. You can play in tandem. Except the one thing I don't like about that game is that if one person is lagging behind and wants to check something out, and you're running ahead, you drag the screen with you. You can't stay separate when you're playing on a team together. That becomes annoying.
WTP: Have you played the other Lego games?
Megan Fox: Indiana Jones and Batman? Yeah, I've played all of them. But Star Wars is my favorite.
Star Wars over Indie you say? …Probably because Shia LaBoeuf isn’t involved in Star Wars. Well, you’ve heard it folks. Now who are you going to believe, the awkward kid from Holes or the Sexiest Woman in the World 2009?
Shortly after this they started talking about Transformers and I lost interest. But this got me thinking. Nintendo has celebrities like Beyonce endorsing the DS…
She hot and smart!
Of course, when she mentioned Sting, I immediately thought of the people who did Riviera, Yggdra Union, and Knights in the Nightmare. Oops. >_>;
Of all the things...
Now I can see Harry Potter.
I really don't care one way or another for console wars being a PC gamer (I came here for the Megan Fox) - but if you ask me, this interview confirms Shia LaBoeuf's sentiment.
In her own words:
"Oy Veh, I don't think I can keep up."
If your trying to paint the Wii as a "hardcore gamer's" console then I don't think Megan Fox is your spokesperson.
Now if you want to paint the Wii as a super-cool toy that will get smoking hot chicks to play with your nunchuck, then yes Megan Fox.
Speaking of which, I think I'm gonna go buy one now :)
But you see, Megan Fox is the spokesperson of the average american man now.
*snerk*
The fact she can't keep up with all the games coming out doesn't mean the console is bad, it just means she's not as on top of the industry as you or I. Plenty of people don't hear about titles until they're looking at them in a store or seeing the advertisements.
As for what I'm trying to do for the Wii? Absolutely nothing. Note of the games they talked about appeal to me personally, but I'm sure to some people they do. I honestly couldn't care less what games she likes, but I'm not your average American that gets spoonfed everything he knows via MTV and Fox News.
Basically everything I was trying to say in a nutshell: Shia LaBoeuf's a Tool. The new Transformers movie sucked. Megan Fox is hot and if Nintendo is into using celebrities to market their products...well they could do a hell of a lot worse than Megan Fox for the Wii.
I mean, really, that's why everyone came to this blog, right?
Lol Dhalsim.
Lets point something out here: Sting only needs a cape and he is superman (the man is tantric and seems that he never gets old). Who says that his music sucks?
Glad I spent time and effort only to be emulated by an IGNemployee.
