I have no idea what "reach" really means on the leaderboards. But clearly, if you are an editor you have a lot of it. Initial logic would suggest it means the amount of IP's or people are ... countries you reach, I dunno.

But anyway, I decided to do a breakdown of the top 50 based on reach scores. The number in parentheses is the actual leaderboard rank, the number to the right of the name is the "reach" value, and I added any special ranks to certain peoples, limiting one rank per person.

I probably messed up somewhere on here so point it out and rub my face in it please if you spot a mistake.

Ron isn't on here but I'm pretty sure is reach is over 200 or so. Interesting note: Yojimbo has the highest "reach" for a non-editor, while Dtoid Hall of Famer Mxy is ranked 39th. Also, I'm interested to see what the "reach" numbers are for those not shown in the top 50. Oh that clever algorithm!

I think its based on how many hits your Cblog gets. Since I dont make cblogs very often (I average about 2 a month), my reach is pretty low.

Now Whiteboy, his is high because of... the giant 200+ comment blogs he made

a) hits from outside destructoid or
b) hits from unique ips

I can't remember, honestly.
Either way, if you want your reach to go up, then getting a link to your cblog on a separate blog would be the way to do it. Unless you have a ton of friends, then all they have to do is keep up with your content.

Actually, my reach is not that high because of 200+ comments. That's for Whiteboy0869. This is for EternalDeathSlayer.

That stat changes quite a bit. I've seen my Reach go as high as 150 or so. Reach seems to be a combo of hits and comments on your blog. So if I get 50 one day, my reach may shoot up to 120 and then go right back down if I only get 15 comments the next day on a new blog.

So yeah, a blog with 0 comments is really hurting your score.

In the end, who cares?
