In case you didn't know, my all-time favorite band is Queens of the Stone Age. They've been my favorite band since high school and with five great albums, they'll be hard to top. So, obviously, I was ECSTATIC when I saw that on launch there would be a QOTSA pack for Rock Band.
Unfortunately, these were songs from their past two albums which are sub-par QOTSA albums. So to right this, I've decided to help Harmonix out by suggesting a new Queens of the Stone DLC pack.
And here we go.
Regular John
I spent about 30 minutes trying to decide which version of this song I wanted to show you. There's the one from 2002 with Dave Grohl on drums, one from 2003 though it's an extended version and has current drummer Joey Castillo on drums, the 2001 version with my favorite line-up of Queens members, and then the classic 1998 version in Europe with the 3 original members of the group. You can see which one I went with below.
If you liked that though you have to watch this version to see weird Europeans and classic QOTSA.
Anyway, this song is the first track off their first album and is my favorite song of theirs. It's perfect for Rock Band in every way.
God Is In The Radio
This song is what inspired today's post, it came on my iPod yesterday while I was driving back from playing three (THREE!) softball games when I realized this song must be in the dream pack.
Vocals are Mark Lanegan of the Screaming Trees. This video was taken a week before I saw them when they came to NC. Yay!
Walkin' On The Sidewalks
Ok for this one I have to cheat. The first video is the version I would want on Rock Band. However, this recording was done on VHS and sounds like it's coming out of tube (a YouTube! omg I didn't even mean to do that!).
Here is a totally badass version of the song but with Mark Lanegan again on vocals:
The sound is a bit out of synch but just damn. This is such a great song.
Alright, I hope everyone enjoyed that. Since this is my favorite band I will be making another 3-song dream pack with them because they are that awesome. Harmonix - make this happen.
I am not sure how much you like "Songs for the Deaf" but I have a strong hunch that there will be either a three song pack from that album or the full album in its entirety.
I fucking love Queens of the Stone Age. I was only slighty 'impressed them, and then Era Vulgaris came out. Its one of the few CDs I actually bought. I'm excited.
If SFTD was your 2nd favorite album, what was your first?

WHAT?!?! Songs for the Deaf is my second favorite album of theirs. I would absolute shit a brick if that happened. Don't tease me bro.
WITH THE FLOW
I would also add "Hanging Tree", "First it Giveth", and "Song for the Dead" because I've always wanted to play that drum intro.
i was at that show, when they played god on the radio
and more queens from "songs from the def" would be fucking amazing.
I almost put Song for the Dead in there because of the opening drum solo but didn't want to have two Mark Lanegan songs as to not tip the balance.
Anyway, what I want is every Queens of the Stone Age song ever released/recorded as DLC.
QotSA are great too though...

Great call with God is in the Radio, Better Living Through Chemistry though, would make me jizz my pants.
