Roughly five months ago, I went on the defensive about Mortal Kombat vs. DC. Everyone was bashing it and I said, "F u" to the naysayers. After playing it at PAX and gauging everyone's reactions, and even having Riser Glen himself walk up to me and say, "I will buy this game," well I felt a little...I told you so.

But, sadly, today brings the first sad news for me from this game. And that news is that Johnny Cage will not be making an appearance in the game. Kotaku put up an article about how the achievements were leaked, and thusly, so were the character line-ups. This is sad because Johnny Cage is the greatest character out of the Mortal Kombat universe. Most people seem to go with Scorpion or Sub-Zero - but these costume twins have no personality. Johnny Cage is the only character in the series to ever really exude any personality just in his combat style. Sure, the groin punch is funny and memorable, but let's not forget that awesome Friendship from MK2. The sunglasses and big cheesy grins - fucking priceless.

We'll miss you Johnny.
