I'm a little confused. It seems that a lot of people are anxious on the edge of their seats wanting Blizzard to announce Diablo 3.

Is it because you want the game to come out so bad or because you are afraid it's not being made? Because, it is being made.

I'm in no way a tipster on this site. I'd say my credibility falls somewhere between SurferGirl and Space Cat (zing!).

In September of 2006, I was staying with a good friend of mine who had gotten so heavily into WoW that he had actually made friends with several Blizzard staff members. He had even gotten himself onto the "Family and Friends" pricing package for WoW that only makes you pay $10 a month. I only say this to establish some credibility for the source. Anyway, he told me one day that Blizzard hired a friend of his to do animation work on a project that wasn't Starcraft or Warcraft related. After asking more of the people he knows at the Blizz, he was told that the project was in fact Diablo 3. I believe that at the time an announcement was going to be made but there must have been some kind of setback. Now, this was almost 2 years ago so that would make sense for the announcement to be made soonish since Blizzard doesn't generally make us wait more than a year for a game once they've announced it (Starcraft: Ghost, oh wait).

So, yeah, I thought I would share that. It's the epitome of terrible source, "a friend of mine knows a guy!" and I don't even know if it's a big deal as I'm assuming many people know about it but have been sworn to secrecy, but the game is coming. I mean, obviously, Diablo II is still one of the best-selling PC games ever. I just wanted to throw in what I had heard for anyone that may think Diablo 3 isn't happening for whatever reason.

I just hope they bring the Necromancer back.
