Genetos is an evolving shoot em up that takes you through the history of the genre. the demo only has three stages. The first bring a space invaders clone, the second a nes game and the third a snes game. basicly you shoot things and take the green(or blue) circles to fill the gauge at the bottom. once it gets full the gauge will reset but your ship will evolve into a stronger one.The music in this game is pretty cool and fits the game well. The demo is only 3 megabytes, so i suggest everyone try it. Also, i know i posted this yesterday, but for some reason it never went on to the community blogs after i pressed publish.

This game rocks! I can't wait to see the full version! Do most modern shmups let you save replays? That feature is really useful for me, because I suck at shmups. Anyway, I cleared the demo on 'Standard User' mode and then I watched my replay and finally I fiddled around with the 'Free Play' mode. It's fun to set your shot damage to 'x 100.'

I want to see a similar thing done with other genres. Platformers, Shooters, and RPGs could all use a game like this!
