Hooray for Heidi Klum!!! Non-Fail GH:WT celebrity commercial.
Budboy311 | 3:13 PM on 11.04.2008 16 comments

I'm sure everyone remembers what a fail the Guitar Hero: World Tour commercial with all of the athletes was. Well, looks like they done good for all of us. They done real, real good.

Three cheers for Heidi.

11 out of motherfucking 10.

It does still enrage me that they're trying so hard with the marketing. I mean, hot women and sports stars? Is that what it should take for me to get to play it?

Plus, there's like, 3 seconds of gameplay. I think. I don't know, I was too distracted. Wait, what is this ad about?

I didn't mind the athlete one, it was funny, this one is just tits and ass(not that I have a problem with that either.)

They should run this commercial, I saw this several times last night and she had her shirt closed. I say BOOOOOOOOOOOO to that.

Dude, the athlete commercial was fucking genius. I'm gonna have to assume you're not an avid sports fan, correct? Well, either way, I happen to know a lot of people who are sports fans that loved it, and of course most aren't really big gamers. What they are instead is the type of college aged guys who drink beer and play Halo 3 and GH. You know, the types of people that made GH3 such a huge sales success.

So in that respect, I'd say the first commercial was certainly effective. It's eye-catching and also very funny for people like me, who worship Kobe Bryant on the basketball court.

I do agree that this commercial with Heidi Klum is another winner.

@ Eternal

Actually man, I'm a big time sports fan. My wife and I are even season ticket holders for the Reds. The athlete one was just a little strange. Tony Hawk wearing a helmet? I guess so we knew he was a skateboarder? (Or drums are dangerous, I guess). Anyway, just missed the message for my demographic. Which is, apparently, married with kids and still like seeing Heidi Klum dancing around in her underwear like the old days when we were in college, early 30s demo.

Sorry, but the athletes commercial wins. At least they had some sort of ass. It's pathetic when dudes have more ass than some supermodel.

This is how the commercial should have been right away. Sorry ladies, I know seeing Phelps in tightie whities might have done it for you but this, is way sexier, even you can agree the female form is way sexier than a man's. Also check out Klum's recent haloween costume, she does it right. Hope the image loads.

But she's also a ditz, said if Mccain gets elected she'll leave the country. I found it funny because from what I heard on the radio she's not a citizen here she's registered in England and hence can't vote.

I hate Heidi Klum so very much. So VERY VERY MUCH!

Also sex sells especially to teen gamer kids.

 about me

I have been reading D-toid for a while and after much cajoling from one Mr. Joe Burling I am creating a page. So, we'll see how it goes.

I have been gaming since the Atari 2600 and Colecovision, back in the hazy Camelot-like 1980s. Hair was big, economics were trickle-down, drugs were in powdered form. A wonderful time to grow up. I have seen a lot change since then, but I still own all the systems I have had over that time, minus the Turbo Grafix 16 which I unfortunately sold a while back.

I am married to a wonderful woman who also likes to game, we have our first child on the way. RPGs are a favorite, but we do play all genres of games.

I am looking forward to becoming a more active part of the community and meeting all you Dtoiders, young and old.

Peace. Love. Unity.
