Many people came when Sony announced that they were dropping the price of the PS3 to $500. Considering such, it wasn't too shocking to also find out that Sony announced an 80GB PS3 for $600.

Woah, I just had a case of deja vu. Didn't we already have a $500/$600 PS3 combo?

Sony dropped their original $500 PS3 from store shelves back in April of 2007. This may have been a strategic move on Sony's part to position themselves to yank the virtual tablecloth from under all of us. A nice magic trick indeed. With the stage set heading into E3, Sony announced that they were dropping the price of the PS3 to $500. I can finally stop jerking off to the thought of Jade Raymond hopping around my bed like a blanket bunny! Sony then added an 80GB PS3 to fill the $600 gap.

Yay! Now the PS3 is finally affordable at the low low price of $500/$600!! Wait.. wha???

What do you all think? Did Sony pull a fast one on us?

By the way, that's a pic of my teacher's wolf. Yes, my Employment Law teacher owns a wolf!
I wanna own a wolf. But yes, sony pulled a fast one and hoped people didn't notice. Apparently everyone on Amazon was fooled.
All I know is that I'm suddenly very excited about cake...
Still want cake?

Deja Vu was a cool game. They need to bring it out on the virtual console
Wait... what were we talking about? Sony did ... *counts fingers* Those bastards!
They just shuffled the skus... New PS3 owners are still getting more for their money.

Mmmm, fat chic- I mean 'cake'.
still a shitty move on Sony's part...
buck, i'm disappointed that you did not drink that wolves blood.
Not that it really helps Sony's case but the 600$ game does come with Motorstorm, and that game is damn fun online. However, 20GB more HDD space doesn't make up for the 40$ difference (600-60 Moto).

They should have dropped the price to 499$ for the 60GB and included Motorstorm. That would have enticed many many more than just gamers on Amazon.com. Add in the free Blu-ray movies and there is some more value... Too bad I don't qualify for those movies. :(
Fat bitch with a little cake...
It's not really that little. It just looks small because she's huge. Like the orginal Xbox.
Let me get my A, then we'll talk about drinking some wolf blood.
congratulations on the digg mother fucker. w00
lol, hah i got here the same way ted.

Well depends Buck, cuz thats corporate lvl price, now, look what amazon, best buy, circuit city, and many other retailers been doing. free shipping, free BRD (like 5, even dough their shitty u can trade them back @ gamespot for a discount) 20 extra gig doesnt hurt anyone. free ps3 with ur hdtv ect ect.

u gotta remember, Sony is loosing money per console already, thats why they cant do a 150-200$ discount yet.
thanks Ted and Lemon =)
Haha. People on Digg are bitching about my pics ----->

Screw the haters! They win no halos. =P
Buy the newly reduced price of the 60gb, which was better than the crappy 20 gb. Plain and simple. Stop your crying and get the 60gb PS3 and upgrade the HDD to 120gb. There are many guides that tell you how to do it. Stop your bitchin. No, I'm not a PS3 fanboy, matter of fact; I don't even own a PS3 or 360. Wii and PC Gaming FTW. So BooYa!

Link to upgrade: There are others ones out there. I remember seeing a much better one giving you a list of working hdd.

I would have bought the 20GB if I had the option, but since they took that away and put the 60GB in its place, I'm still looking at $500 as my cheapest option. So I ask you again: Did Sony really drop the price? Looks more like a hardware upgrade than a price drop if you ask me.
I guess your right in the fact that there really isn't much an option to pricing, but still your getting the hardware upgrade which is more way useful to than what the dead weight 20 gb had. In its own sense your getting the additional features of the 60gb free. Either way you look at it the PS3 will get back in the game coming Fall and early next year.
This is interesting someone just posted it on a forum:
"According to new over at DailyTech, the current price drop may actually just be a tactic to clear old stock. The 80GB is on its way at $600, and it looks like the 60GB may get the same treatment that the 20GB did a while back (remember when they swore they weren't discontinuing it, and then they discontinued it?). If this is true, PS3's entry point will soon be rising back to $600." Sony to force pricing options yet again.
That's not a wolf. It's a shepherd / mal mut, or something similiar. At best it's an F2 wolf hybrid.

cwolves! You are my new friend! You are right, btw. It is 90% wolf. He got it from a wolf breeder a couple of hours into Ohio from Cincinnati.
Oh, and it looks like the price drop was even more non existent than I originally thought.

I don't need wifi and I can upgrade my hard drive myself. Just give me the cheapest PS3 possible and I will be a happy camper. I do want one, I just can't afford it...still.
My best guess would be closer to 50%, if not less. Then again it might just be the picture.

That dog (almost pure dog, maybe 20% wolf, if any) was sold as a 90% pure wolf.

You can't trust Wolfdog breeders worth anything :-/
