About

Oh, hi there. Didn’t see you enter. Anyways, welcome to my humble little blog. For those of you not familiar with who I am, the name’s Brian. I’m 24 years old and hail from Findlay, Ohio. I work at the local newspaper here as a copy editor, putting my four long years of college to actual use. Kind of. I think.

For those of you who might recognize me from elsewhere, I work as Assistant Gaming Editor over at Blogcritics Gaming and as Features Editor over at Tomopop. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it because I get to do a lot of cool shit with a lot of cool people.

I've been gaming since the relatively young age of around 3 and I've played plenty of games, both good and bad. I'm continuously expanding my gaming collection, which has become more of an archive in recent years as I'm focusing on collecting older, less well-known titles. You'd honestly be surprised on what people are missing out on in bargain bins...

Other than gaming, I love anime, manga, sports, movies, TV, and a whole lot more. I also happen to have something of a legendary love for Cammy, to the point that I am the site's unofficial official Cammy fanboy. And yes, I do play as her in Street Fighter and do so quite well, too.

Also, I am Chad Concelmo's B.F.F., my prize for coming in first in The Great Retro Quiz .18 - ActRaiser. Accept no substitutes. Not even Aerox.

Tax time is upon us here in the good old US of A, and since mine are now sent out and all taken care of, I can go back to thinking about other things when I have a spare minute. Like video games, for example! And of course, that's my very silly little segue into the latest edition of What'd You Get?, the community feature where you can show off all the cool stuff you got in one place and compare it with everyone else.

This week, I didn't get any games because I'm saving up for a few things, but I do have a lovely video game-related figure on the way. Which one? Well, you'll have to check out Tomopop becuase I'll also be reviewing her. But I'll give you a hint ... or another hint, since I just told you it was a female character: ninja. That's it. :) First one to guess her gets a cookie!

Oh, and also, what'd all of you get?

Pokemon Soul Silver last Saturday
I got myself a sweet Billy bookshelf from IKEA and now my collection is all classified and clean, I love it!
I bought an Indonesian shadow puppet at a local antique store.
New 27 inch HDTV for my room yo.

My 360 occupies a 37 inch, so I had to show my Wii and PS3 some love.

Next year, a new goddamn rig. Mine is showing it's age (6).
I got Bayonetta for the 360. It's not as bad as I thought it would be.
Recent stuff:

Mega Man 10
Mass Effect 2
Spectral Force 3

I've played basically nothing except MM10 since it came out on 360 a week or two ago. 11/10 Firetrucks.
Ayane is the only female ninja I can think of right now. Anyway I got:

Just got Deadspace Extraction off Goozex.
Age of Booty and Monopoly on 360.
Oh, and I also got the Williams Pinball Collection from Goozex. Pretty neat.
I suppose I could brag....

Lego Rock Band and GH:Metallica PS3 both for $12.40 each
Lego Rock band DS for $12.40
Populus DS for $5
Muramasa for Wii for $15
Raiden IV for 360 for $15
Spyborgs, Monkey king, and Saint for Wii for $3.60 each.

I went bargain huntings....
I didn't buy any games, but I did pay an entrance-fee for a private LAN hosted by the guys that used to have the biggest and best LANs of Belgium for more then 10 years... It's only with people that have been there more then 10 times, like me :p It's been nearly 5 years since my last true LAN, but this one will be EPIC and worth my time :-)

I might buy a helmet this week to build a dtoid-helmet to wear at the LAN since I already ordered 3 dtoid-shirts this week to wear overther with a stickerpack to label my car, pc, 32" HDTV and stuff with the dtoidlabel :-) Time to get some more people into dtoidEurope :-)

Since I ordered the dtoidshirts this week, I think they count as something I got as well :-)
