Yo dawg. i herd u liek numbers and guns.
I've got a new game for you that has both: Blacklight Retribution.
It's free, PC-exclusive, and full of shooty, but a little light on strategy.
BACK TO BLACKLIGHT
Blacklight tango down was one of those games your grandma would confuse with Modern Warfare 2, but at least it had the balls to introduce one new feature: the ability to pretty much see your enemies at all times. I didn't play much of it, but some people got wet over buying diffferent stocks with internet points.
See, the whole novelty of the game was that you could customize EVERYTHING: muzzle, stock, barrel, eye color, etc. It's no surprise, really, that the sequel is free-to-play; what's more surprising is that there is one.
But, the problem is, the sequel is very good.
I can't really tell what it is, but somehow all the cool ideas of Tango Down were given to a badass in charge of User Interface, and the baby is a seamless, addictive mess of XP bonuses and hitboxes; it's a LOT like MW3's run-and-gun multiplayer, but cool. And the F2P microtransactions, in the time I played, really only help you if you're good in the first place; a $5 muzzle can't work until you've unlocked the right gun.
This is a game every shooter fan should try, when it comes out.
