Well. It's been quite awhile, hasn't it? How have you been? That's good. Oh, I'm doing well, thanks for asking. Just been getting along, man. So, I see everyone is doing one of these "10 Things About Me" blogs and, well, I thought I would jump on the bandwagon too. Because why the hell not?

Hey look, it's me! :D Now, let's move on to the list or something.

10. I am a Contributor for the Front Page

I thought I'd go with an obvious one for number ten. I write things and they are on the front page! Been doing it here for Dtoid since July of last summer, and sometimes I still have to pinch myself because I can't believe it. Wouldn't trade it for the world.

9. I co-host a live show with Caitlin Cooke on Destructoid's official Twitch.tv channel

Yup, every Saturday at 12 PM Pacific, you can catch Cait and I's new show Weekend Escape. It's been a thing for four weeks now, and we do full playthroughs of games with a focus on co-op. Our first game was Portal 2 and last week we played some Minecraft. It's probably my favorite part of the week. You guys should come watch. :) We will not be on this weekend though. But the week after you should come watch.

8. I am only 18

This will probably surprise you the most. I don't know. It seems to take pretty much everybody by surprise. People are convinced that I am in my mid-to-late twenties. I'm here to tell you, no, that's not the case. I'm the resident baby at Destructoid so, you know, make fun of me for that or whatever. It's all good though. YOU GUYS ARE OLD, SO, HA.

[Edit: Just remembered this, and it's relevant. Frogboss made this for me. Thought you guys could appreciate it.]

7. I am a Computer Science student

Because I'm 18 I am indeed in college. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, to be exact. I do Computer Science things here, and that's really about it. I'm not sure what else to say about school because, I'll be honest, I absolutely hate it. I don't know if it's the wrong school, the wrong area, the batshit insane professors, the fucking retarded students, or the fact that maybe school just isn't for me. Maybe it's a combination of all of them, I'm not sure. But it sucks.

6. I FUCKING LOVE PANDAS

Giant pandas or red pandas; it doesn't matter. JUST LOOK AT THEM HNNNNNNG

5. Music is my true love

I don't know what it is about it, but music is the biggest part of my life (even more than videogames, seriously). However, I don't like talking to people about music or writing about music. There's just something about music that has a deep, hardwired connection inside humans' brains that make music universally appealing to everyone, while also being extremely personal. That's why I don't like the idea of writing or talking about music. It's too personal, you know?

Maybe I'm weird for thinking that, but whatever. I played the trumpet for six years, and, like any teenager, I then switched to guitar and taught myself to play with the knowledge of music I had from playing trumpet. People say I'm good, but I think I'm alright. I might do some recording someday, but as of right now I have nothing to show. Except my guitar.

Beautiful, huh? :)

4. I've never had a broken bone, ever

This may not be too interesting. I think it's interesting. Well, it's interesting because of the fact that I can't believe I've never had a broken bone. There is one significant example I can think of. When I was either 6 or 7 (not that it matters) I was helping my mom carry groceries into the house from the car. When she grabbed the last of the bags, I closed the trunk. As I tried to walk away, something held me back. I had shut the trunk on my pointer and middle fingers. I fucking screamed, man. But you know what? Not a single bone was broken. Crazy.

3. I've never had a paying job

It's embarrassing for me to admit, but I have never, ever had a paying job. That includes my current Contributor position. Now, in High School I did try to apply many times to various pizza places and game stores. Those were the only jobs I wanted, so that didn't exactly help me any. I eventually gave up when one of the local game shops I called said they ripped up my application because I was still in High School. I was heartbroken. I also never went back to that fucking store again. Assholes.

2. I own a Zune HD and Windows Phone 7

I can't live without them.

1. I am my worst critic

Whenever I do something, I always think I'm doing it wrong. I have pretty big anxiety issues, but I'm really good about hiding them and keeping them inside so other people don't worry. If something goes wrong and it's my fault, I can play it off like it's no big thing. But inside, it's killing me. I also take any criticism very seriously, and use that to improve whatever I'm doing for the next time. I guess that's why I am the writer I am today, and I find that it's always for the better. You can't ever get any better without fucking up and falling on your face at least once, right?

So, there you have it! Ten sexy facts about me, Brett Zeidler of the Internet. I love all of you equally. <3

Oh, awesome! I didn't know that you and Caiters had a show! I'll have to catch that sometime. Thanks for sharing!
Well I need to check out you and Cait's show. I just have trouble getting up on Saturdays. At all. Life's tough sometimes, ya know? Anywho, thank you for sharing a bit about yourself with us.
Dude your'e full blown baby mode.
18 years old? WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT.
I've never broken a bone either, and a minivan parked on my arm once!
I'll never be able to check out your show, unfortunately.
I'm at work 9AM to 6PM on saturdays
Miss talking to you all ze times, Brett(/Panda). <3
You're fucking 18?
Also, I like Weekend Escape.
@bbain
@Occams
It was no problem. :) And yes, come watch our show! We absolutely love seeing familiar faces in the chat.

@Gobun
Yup, that is the exact same reaction I get from everyone. :P Also, you can always watch the archive of our show here if you really, really want to catch it.

@ZombiePlatypus
Wait, seriously? Even after that? You sir take the cake from my lame ass story of shutting my fingers in the trunk of a car.

@Steven
STEEEEVEEEEEEEN. I miss you too, dawg! <3 We've gotta fix that.
@smurfee
haha And there's the other reaction I get all the time. Thanks for the compliment! I don't think I remember seeing you in the chat though...be sure to say hi. :) Oh, I had fun playing Kid Icarus in FNF a couple weeks ago with you. You hosting again this week? I'm so down for some more.
BABY BRETT ZEIDLER! WE LUV UUUUU!
PANDA PANDA PANDA
I am hosting KI. Yayuuh.

Also, I chatted it up first week. We talked about food. So...Masticate with Brett & Cait needs to happen.

I also watched a bit each week, but was generally doing something else, so didn't chat.
You a baby bro <3
I have problems with species that wont fuck to save their own kind.
@Spencer
@Jonathan
@Law
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

@smurfee
Sweet, will so be there for Kid Icarus. I remember you being in there now. You can safely assume Cait will bring up food every single show. That's like our thing now. I think.

@Gobun
THEIR POPULATION IS ON THE RISE
18?!

It's the new new Husky Hog!
Gibson SG (drool) and a beard at 18?

ARE YOU MY EVIL TWIN!?
@Bleach Boy: he's younger than you!

@Stevil: I think that make him your good twin.
@Ali: I like to think of myself as an anti-hero.
HI BRETT! I can relate with a few of these, specifically #1 and #4. Although I am not 18. Sadface... :-(. Age aside (:-(), I always loved your stuff!
and by age aside, I mean I am jelly of your youth :D
I didn't realize you were so young!! You're very mature for your age!
(oh, and I've never had a broken bone either!)
...WE HAVE A SHOW?!?
Pandas you say?

Lol I love how attached you have grown to that shop I made on a whim...
@Bleach Boy
@Ali D
SO YOUNG

@Stevil
I'll be honest, it's not a Gibson, it's an Epiphone. But, it is owned and made by Gibson, so there's that... I will say it sounds exactly the same as a regular SG. Which is nice.

@Chris
HI CHRIS! I love your stuff to dood! And don't be jelly, being 18 sucks. :P

@Elsa
I hear that constantly as well. :)

@Cait
YOU'RE A DRUNK. But that's why youdabes.

@bunnyrabbit

@Frog
That's when the best shops are made! :D
I can turn this into a panda thread if need be but I have the trump right here:
I...I'm speechless.
YOU CAN BREAK A BONER???

...

Oh thank God that says "bone" and not "boner". Shit scared me.
I was going to ask you who the best video-game panda is, Panda from Tekken or Tenma Saotome from whatever Ranma game of your choice, but then I saw that picture of baby pandas and I realized that making pandas fight is just wrong.

It's just... WRONG. Brb gotta go look at that sneezing baby panda clip on youtube again.
YOU FORGOT TO SAY YOU NEVER PLAYED THE BATTLE TUTORIAL!
You are 18??????? Cool. :P

Also you guys should record the show and post it on Youtube for those who can't make it! Let's Plays are awesome.
Damn 18, was not expecting that. I'm 21.
18, eh? That means you're legal... Niiiiccceee.
ANDY IT'S ACTUALLY MEDICALLY POSSIBLE TO BREAK A BONER.
Funny how I watched you and Caters' show right up until it was officially a thing, then haven't watched since. I swear I'll watch again!
It's okay Scotty, you're like a true hipster now!
Awesome stuff, dude. I didn't know about this show either, but will have to check on it. What do you think you want to do once you graduate? Game programming? It is hard stuff, if you haven't messed with it yet. Maybe you can do something that combines your love of music with programming; that could be slick.

Unsurprisingly, I also have a win pwn. I don't use apps on it too much, so maybe I don't notice the lack of them. I think it is a very functional phone and haven't felt much deficiency in it for the years I've had it.
