I Hate Sleep
BravoNavo | 3:05 PM on 11.10.2008 17 comments

When I work the desk at my University's archival library, it gives me much time to think. Usually it's about games. Well, mostly. :P

One thing that I have been particular about all my life is sleep.

I HATE SLEEP

To me, sleep is a waste of time. Why would I want to lay in a bed for six to eight hours every night when I could be doing more productive things?

LIST OF THINGS I'D RATHER DO THAN SLEEP

Laundry
Catch up on games
Watch an movie I've never seen
Cleaning house
Go out for a walk

With a extra six hours per day (The time I usually spend sleeping), I could accomplish so much. Sometimes, I wish only had to be rebooted. Only about five minutes of downtime. That's all I would need.

Does anyone else share my disdain for sleeping?

1: FORUMS!

2: i also dislike sleeping, and because of that i am continualy tired (i sleep aroud 6h each night when i should have 9h).

Unfortunatly if you dont sleep for a couple of days you'll die, and i dont recommend that.

I hate sleeping too. So that's why I only get like 4 hours of sleep a night. Would rather go on Dtoid and play games!

@Mee

1: Yeah, but I'm too tired to remember :P

2: Same here, actually. I feel really tired. The only time I really ever try to get a good amount of sleep is before I drive a long distance or if I have a tournaments.

@Garison

True dat

I view sleeping as lost time as well, but it's a necessary evil. If you don't sleep you aren't well rested, and then you are unable to react to the chaos of the day.

Sleep almost prevented me from finishing Ninjatown last night. I won at 4:12am and rolled in to work today a little cracked out :)

I don't hate sleep, only our complete dependence on it.

When I hold a job, I usually get 4-6 hours of sleep. That is plenty for me. I've been layed off for a bit now, and I sleep to long, pissed at myself.

The main reason is I feel that I work at a job for 9 hours a day (that includes commute), and when I get home, I need a recommended 8-9 hours of sleep. That means 17 hours of my day are gone to shit I don't want to do, and it leaves me a whopping 7 hours tops to actually enjoy myself. That is logically ridiculous. 7 hours may seem like a lot, but time moves faster when you are doing things you want to do. So along with eating dinner, talking to people,m and daily chores, I'm left with 4 hours.. maybe? to do what I want. ffffffffff.

I don't need much sleep at all, not because I hate it, because I always maintain a healthly diet.

Seriously, I'm never tired nor really that ill, because I maintain an active lifestyle.

I only sleep a lot once a week, usually on my free day, and the rest of the week goes by with about 3-7 hour sleeps, usually 6.

The tireness you feel I simply don't feel at all, try living a healthier lifestyle, and see how your gaming time AND enjoyment feels much,much better. :)

I love sleep. As someone who has suffered sleep problems for close to a year now, I adore every night I can fall (AND STAY) asleep.

I used to think that...

Then I grew up, got a job, and lost all my energy it seems. :-(

I love sleep. I hate to do it though.

if I choose to pull an all nighter I tend to get really really thirsty for whatever reason. also I get to play lots of games and not really stress about what to do next. its really my only free time.

and then I have to face the day feeling like shit.
fuck you sleep. cockblock.
