- Graphics: Better than Gears, but not THAT much better, with a weird aside about the unreal engine being everywhere.
- Sound: ok
- Story: ok
- Multiplayer: ranks are neat
- Control: Heavy, it doesn't control like the Orange Box, CoD4, etc.
- Sixaxis bullshit is bullshit, but there's some nice sixaxis bullshit
- Rent it
- Weak haiku
Work on your scripts, at the very least.
You can't just barge in here with your video, its the internet, ANYONE can make a video, especially with a flamebait-y title like yours. The Dtoid C-Blogs isn't as impersonal like shit you see on Digg, it's called a Community for a reason. Introduce yourself first and we won't give you shit. We'll actually watch your video and give you proper feedback.
Here's something for you to do:
1.) Get an avatar pic
2.) Make an introductory post of yourself as a gamer, we don't know anything about you so we might think you're just another troll.
3.) That's when you post your videos
Writing out a script and reading from that should eliminate that. Maybe do a bit more with being a voiceover instead of being another talking head on Youtube.
Also, write some accompanying text, and elaborate in the story without trying to cram everything into the video. Keep it short, keep it simple.

Auto aiming makes the game more casual in the respect that people can pick it up and kill people more easily (Multiplayer). Whereas people like me want to fight people that are skillful and good with the game.
The game really does define what a "Hardcore" game is.
If you're finding it hard to aim, turn the difficulty down. It's a decision decision by the makers rather than a mistake. I dislike Gears because of the clunkyness, but for some reason find it works in the FPS world.
So all in all, I love it and I think it's worth buying if you have a PS3. More so than any of the other FPS exclusives.
Get a job or something, stop wasting your time, you're not going to be popular on the internet. Get a life.
Go play games. Anything but this shit.

I wanted to give one last go, without using a script, because I was hoping it may come off more genuine, but there is a ton of "Oh's and umms" in there which just lengthen it out.
I'm not a fan of G4TV's reviews because they seem purposefully hammy and I like the quick pacing of ZP but I don't want to just copy it, so I am trying out a lot of different approaches.
This is the first time I posted to Destructoid, however, and, once again, I will not treat it as a dump. So I do apologize for that.

Well, the irate comments are placed because of the flamebait title. So I don't take them personally. I agree the title is flamebait, but I think I want to keep the "Why it sucks" theme going. I just need to preface it with "Whatever doesn't suck should be assumed worthwhile." Plus, if I just focus on whats bad about the game it would shorten the length of the video as well. Thoughts?
My next review is going to be "Halo Wars - Why It Sucks" I think I may have to purchase that Hava unit to get HD video captures.
Maybe try showing just the game in your reviews rather than mostly you (ugly fucker hahaha, just kidding) and show off what you are talking about in the game. And get an avatar, we have been trained to brutalize anyone, no matter who they are, who doesn't have an avatar, as you already know.

I guess I can see your logic. Having a themed "Why It Sucks" video review series would set you apart from the thousands of gamers doing video reviews but... you're not going to get a positive response from your audience. There's been a recent surge of "cynical gamers" out there and if you want to distinguish yourself from the douchebags that talk shit just to talk shit, you're going to have to take your project in a new direction. For example, Ben Yahtzee rips on pretty much every game ever but it's funny, well thought out and he doesn't take himself seriously.
I can definitely see where you are coming from. And I agree. Again, I want to follow ZP's line and not directly copy it because I don't believe I could pull off what Yahtzee does in any fashion and ultimately it would just fall flat.
It's going to be a tight rope to walk that line of balancing "cynical gamer" and staying relevant. I will continue to work on editing techniques and how to best apply them, to which I am very open.
Certainly from what I have seen, I definitely need to work a script, keep it concise and back up my viewpoint with my actual gameplay. Largely this is still new to me and I have a list of fixes that need to be applied on future reviews. Thanks again!
