I'd really like to see them. Video games live rock
You know what? Yes. Yes, I will be there.
Who else is going? I'm looking forward to the opportunity to meet a fellow Dtoider or two, since those of us up here don't get as much opportunity.
This is the wrong time of year for tickets to go up for sale for me. Otherwise i'd grab a pair tomorrow. oh well, not the end of the world.
Excuse me while i go kick something.
Put this up in the forums too, if you haven't already. No reason to let people miss out if this croc gets covered.
Now if only they would come to Portland, OR
That's awesome! Hopefully they'll decide to hit DC too.
@Rainbowblack: Well, there’s always eBay...and you never know, even with getting the tickets from the official vendor. I saw Eric Clapton at the Garden on 9/29/2006, and I bought the ticket from Ticketmaster.com on, like, September 5th. Sometimes you just luck out. (Granted, they were in the highest possible row of the Garden, all the way in the nosebleed section, but I still got to see the show)
@MechaMonkey: [in voice of Kevin from The Office] Will do.
this might be dumb...but what the hell are "Video Games Live"? is it where you play with everyone in the room, or where some actors play out video game stories? what is it?
This is awesome. I'm gonna try and be there, although I'm not making any promises. Is there any chance they'll be completely sold out? I'm broke at the moment (christmas shopping for family sucks), but if they don't (which is most likely the case) I will try to grab some tickets/
You saw Clapton at the freakin Garden? That is fuckin amazing. If he can't sell out a show, I doubt VGL will.
Thank you. I am buying my ticket right this second.
ahahaha ocified. afaik it's a concert with video game musics. yeah not sure $35 is in my current budget, especially for seats behind a pole or velcroman or something
I just whent to the website saw They Might Be giants playing there on Feb 2. This day keeps getting better and better.
@Ocified-Xboxer: Check out the following links for more information.
Video Games Live (official website)
Video Games Live - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Basically, it’s a show with a full orchestra and choir — as well as video footage from many games and all kids of crazy lights — where music from many different video games is performed. Just look at the image at the top of my post for a list of some of the games and series of games in question.
@liam2015: Oh no, the Clapton show was most definitely sold out. In fact, I’m pretty sure that I got the last ticket in the Garden; I tried searching later on for just one ticket, and nothing came up. It was an awesome show, and I couldn’t see any empty seats. Hopefully, the Beacon Theatre will have tickets left for you to buy after your wallet has recovered from Christmas shopping. Luckily for me, I have a credit card, heh heh...ha...oh man, I’m going into debt...
So it is kinda like the Pink Floyd laser light shows at a planitarium the? We usd to drop acid and go to them in high school...
@Ocified-Xboxer: If that’s a Freaks and Geeks reference, and even if it isn’t, thank you for making my blog that much more awesome.
Tickets purchased. It's now a solid birthday gift from the girlfriend. :)
Bomber...It wan't a reference to FnG...it was what we used to do way back when...
