New PC upgrades (first poast!)
Bloodborne | 11:07 AM on 08.20.2007 3 comments

I suppose I'll make my inaugural DToid post on my latest gaming investment: some new parts I ordered this past weekend on NewEgg.com. You can see the new specs over in my profile on the right-hand side. I'm super stoked for this build, I can finally play all these new games in DirectX 10, specifically BioShock. Weeee!

I'll make another post a few days from now when the parts come in about assembling the beast (complete with pictures!). Stay tuned.

Sweet set up, though i would've gone quad core and used an Asus Blitz p35 mobo, then again, that's just me.

Post BioShock DX10 screens please:).

I thought about the quad core, but it was about $100 more than this processor I'm getting (the cheapest quad core), it had a slower core clock, lower FSB speed and the performance benefits of four cores just aren't there for games yet that I can see.

Will do with the BioShock DX10 screenies. :D

Bloodborne: I'm with you on the quad core, but I still can't justify SLI to myself. Looks like you've got a good setup, though.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?

Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!

 about me

Hello there, I'm Bloodborne, a 21-year-old college student from the good ol' US of A. I've been gaming since I was in elementary school, mainly on the NES and GameBoy, and then on the PC when my family got a new computer and I discovered the game Half-Life. The rest they say, is history. There is still a piece of me that loves Nintendo, though.

I swear that I will only post quality content here, so don't be afraid to add me to your friends list!
