Is there going to be a Dtoid PC left 4 dead group? I tried the demo on both 360 and pc and it was unplayable on the 360 laggy and just unfun.
I'll be on the 19th, when Amazon ships me my copy. I want to be the chick because she's cool.
Didn't you know this game = fail after about a month?
Or should I say "Stail"?
Nice. Damn cool walls, I like the cast one the best.
Really? I have come across 0 lag when playing it online. Are you doing it wrong?
And why would this game be fail after a month?
I just don't see a lot of replay value happening, to be honest. The demo was really repetitive. I am not sure either how fun it is going to be on the zombie side of things in VS mode. But we will see. My fear is that I will wait until I can get this game for half-price and by then no one will be playing anymore
i feel bad for all the games i am going to stop playing when this comes out tomorrow. :( poor fallout. I tried to beat you in time but you will be set aside for awhile.
Repetitive? Everytime I played it, it was different. Sure the level was the same but everything else from where the guns/ammo were to what bosses were present and when and where the zombie rushes would come from.a Sounds like you had a bowl of fail this morning.
Sorry, you just can't talk baddly about L4D to me (especially in my blog) without me coming to its aid. :P
DronkMonk you fail. L4D = Win on all levels. I am excited to get in on some L4D action. I'm getting it for 360 but I'm definately picking it up for PC later on. I did the same with Orange Box. L4D seemed to play a bit better on PC for sure but I have so many friends to play with on XBL I just can't justify not getting it for 360.
I am going absolutely nuts waiting to play...
And I'm on PC so we def. need to get a group together as I can see and anticipate that Destructoid will have some very faithful L4D players.
@dronkmunk I think this game will have an immense amount of replay value. Also, don't forget about how good Valve is with DLC. They already have new "movies" in the making for the game. If they release those regularly, I will be an extra happy camper.
Ha, group name = Left 4 Deadstructoid...heh...no? Okay..
Also, preloading the game is fucking torture. Knowing all the data is there...its like putting chastity belt of sorts on the 360 DVD case, but this chastity belt is made of 1's and 0's.
crap....I need to stay up all night to finish the games I am working on Y_Y
I gotta wait till thanksgiving to get paid again dammit. I was hoping to cling to the last droplets from last payday but I gotta get a new tire, why can't they be made out of stone like the Flintstones?
Tooooooooomoooorrow, tomorrow, I'm killing zombies, tomorrow, it's only a daaaaaaaaaayy
aaaaaaaaaaaa
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
@dronkmunk
Not if you get the pc version. User mods and User maps will make this game last forever.
Why are you wasting your time with L4D blog posts when there are videos of Nick Chester singing to share with the world?
Also, needs moar widescreen.
Karaoke videos tomorrow (have to fix the lighting tonight).
Zombies =/= instawin. Thats all i have to say on this subject forthwith.
It's ok dronk..you fail, some people do more than others. We all have our moments.
I still <3 you. I just kill zombies and you...fail. :P
@ The Bez: Really? I had absolutely zero issues with the 360 version. No lag and controlled just fine.
The only problem I had with the 360 version (which I will buy anyway) is that I had been playing the PC version for hours before I tried it out. So of course it felt slower and more difficult overall, but I still enjoyed it.
Hell, the only problem I have with the 360 is it takes a minute to get into the menu and flip to invert the controls when you join a game. A minute that you could be killin zombies.
@Blehman You can't set a default? That seems pretty dumb to me, oh well, it also seems like something they would fix sooner than later.
Totally jacking these walpapers when I get home!
@Nukka
Not in a demo, at least.
Can't you set your 360 profile to default to invert controls?
I think Valve will support this game with regular updates, similar as TF2, which is still awesome even after months.
Updates yes, but 360 users will miss out on the user generated content.
