I am not talking about the incredible and perfect Uncharted: Drake's Fortune game. I mean like a classic point and click game. It was a reality during the beginning stages of its development and then eventually became what it is now.
Lucky for us, during its beta days there were some videos of it in action. The game had the user pointing a cursor around to direct the little robot that could around the world. Take a look for yourself.
The setting and story was different, but it was these videos shown to Miaymoto that made him fall in love with the character and they choose to scrap the control type. Here's some more video.
The YouTube description includes a lot more information on the game and beta stages.
So first off, how many of you played Chibi-Robo? And would you rather it be this other style of play? It would be like Zack & Wiki but on the GameCube. This game probably would've appealed to a lot more people if it was a different style of play. You know those point-and-click junkies are always itching for something new/good to play.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I would kill for this game.
