I like to say part of the reason I enjoyed my Playstation 3 experiences were cause I didn't have to worry about stupid achievement whores playing for a bigger e-peen. Those days are long gone thanks to trophies. It is starting up again, so let the whoring and bragging begin.

Since you (and everyone else) is new to this system, there will be a need to look at these trophies before you pick up a game. How else would you choose a title? You don't want a game you can't easily score all the achiev...eerrr trophies, now do you? That is why the people who brought you Xbox360Achievements.org brings you PS3Trophies.org. Expect it to be near as robust as the former within time. Patience.

I never got the concept of Achievements..I doubt that'll change because they're being called Trophies for the PS3.

Imagine the epic pissing contest when Home is released and people get to show off their Trophy rooms. Insulting someone's e-peen over a mmicrophone is one thing, but doing it in a full 3-d ampitheatre that houses all of your giant over-sized 3D trophies is another.

I never understand why people don't "get" achievements. What's not to get? No one forces you to get them. No one forces you to brag about them. They're just fun, extra goals to shoot for. Nothing wrong with them.

Uh what? haha... obviously you have never played an online game for PS3. I would say 8 out of 10 people are on mic.. and the ones that are not on mic... if you ask them to turn it on they will.

Yeah, I don't see what the big deal is about achievements either. It's something fun to do that can add some replay value or provide an additional challenge. You make it sound like a similar concept coming to PS3 is going to ruin your enjoyment of the console.
