Before you jump in (which is probably too late for most of you) there are some things you should know and realize about the Resistance 2 Beta. Some of it might be having issues here and there but just keep this in mind.
-Most people probably won't have a mic.
It is a simple fact that not everyone is going to go out and buy some sort of mic. If there are amany handfuls of games on Xbox Live that don't have mics, you can double that here. Get use to it or just play with friends.
-If people have a mic, you might not be able to communicate with them.
Just cause someone has a mic, doesn't mean they use them, that they can hear you, or even that they will be talking to you. Many times I see someone with a mic but they are doing split screen so I get to listen to them talk to each other about nothing. Or of course the little kid factor. Once again, get use to it or just play with friends.
-Can't do the party thing properly.
It is a beta so relax. And I have noticed if you sign out and then sign back in, usually that helps the problem with party time fun.
-Just cause someone has the ability to do something, don't mean they will do it!
So your team is pretty evenly diversed with classes and maybe even a little bit heavy on Spec-Ops. That doesn't mean you are fine. Just because someone is a class, doesn't mean they will give you what you need. I can count countless times when I had absolutely zero ammo in both my Wraith and my shotgun and I jumped up and down in front of someone to give me ammo and they didn't. And of course asking for ammo in the mic doesn't work if they dont' have a mic themselves.
-Don't run around wildly, hitting all the switches in the zombie area!
Seriously don't do that! If you run to a nearby zombie-nest, they "awaken" and come after you. And like they say in the description over the radio, everytime you hit a switch, more "guards" or guys with guns like augers appear to kill you. So if you run around like a maniac hitting all the switches, you might even release the super zombies and then your team will hate you forever.
-Medics are point whores!
Not really much to know here...they just seem to get a lot of points easily while sitting in the background.
-Tough enemies are REALLY tough.
Most of the creatures will take many, many shots to take down, even the zombies and grunts. They are the weakest but doesn't mean they will go down in a hit. Also be afraid of TWO-STAR commanders. They are even tougher. At first thought this might seem annoying but this is done so you will actually work as a team to take them down and rely on each other.
These are a few main things I found helpful in the Beta. So if you have a mic and need a Level 10 Spec-Ops or a Level 5 Soldier, let me know where to enlist! (Code given away!)
also, thanks for the advice.
So Co-Op! And it is amazing when there is ZERO lag.
Anyways, it ended but then it started again and I had to leave. I think it was more his attitude. But letting the game go on like that...I'll stick to co-op thank you very much.
On another note, the developers should have never made enemies so difficult. They should know by now that nobody online ever works as a team or has mics for that matter. I could have told them that!!
I'll join you for a 3 vs. 2 one day and we shall riiiiiiiiiiise to victory.
Cognito: Thats cause you werent playing with me...
Co-op is awesome, deathmatch is gay and I'm actually not sure if I want to buy this when it comes out as it plays WAY different than Resistance: FoM......
I have LBP and it's awesome.
PSN: Saffron
(( I don't have the Beta, but from what I have heard. Mix is right the game is WAY different than R:FOM. It's sounds alot like a actually GOOD version of what id's QuakeWars:E.T. was trying to accomplish. ))
BTW for the first time I'm actually kinda hyped about getting LBP.

I didn't play any competitive games because I was too addicted to coop. Yeah, I did notice that most people don't work together but I did have an awesome match where me (medic), a spec-ops and a soldier basically were working teamwork to a T. That's where the game shines. But I also was able to dominate on my own just as a medic. I ended up one match with 145 kills with the next highest being 62 in a 7-player game. But I was always healing and reviving everyone at the same time since that's how medics really gain experience quick (yeah medics are the easiest class by far IMO). I also really like how you can still gain XP in offline matches, which was nice when I couldn't connect to any games yesterday afternoon >_>
Overall, it's an awesome beta. My dad was getting pretty addicted to it as well which is amazing since he never plays FPSs. Now I need to go preorder it...
