I should probably preface this with the fact that I purchased Guitar Hero 1 and Guitar Hero 2 at the same time and probably played them about the same amount of time which isn't much. Heck, I probably haven't played them in almost a year. Needless to say I didn't pick up Guitar Hero 3 or even Rock Band. But after hearing this latest tidbit, I might have to buy Guitar Hero IV. Since it will feature:
At the Drive-In's "One Armed Scissor"
Seriously, isn't that reason enough? Not familiar with the song? Check it out.
Now this certainly is not 100% confirmed but if it is true, it is set to come out in June on 360, PS3, Wii, PC, Mac, DS, and your mom. And apparently Aerosmith and Def Leppard might be on it as well? This is definitely good news for fans of Cedric Bixler-Zavala like myself.
If this were true, then this song would be in GH Aerosmith because that game release window is during the summer. I saw this yesterday and I can tell you that it is not true because there is no PS2 version. Also, GH:On Tour is the DS title that will be available this summer and we already know what the soundtrack is for that game.
Is this what you are talking about?

Pick up your guitar and shred along to “One Armed Scissor” by At the Drive-In this summer on Guitar Hero IV. The game will be released this June on all major platforms including Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Nintendo Wii, PC, Mac and Nintendo DS. At The Drive-In will have their track included along with rock giants such as Aerosmith and Def Leppard.
The track “One Armed Scissor” originally released on Relationship and Command still continues to stand the test of time. It has been recognized by Spin Magazine as one of the “Top 100 albums between 1985 and 2005″ and by Time Magazine as an album that, “deftly combines punk ferocity with artful though sometimes inscrutable lyrics.”
They spelled the name of the album wrong. How could this not be false.
One Armed Scissor was the song that got me to pick up that CD. Enfilade is the one that made it worth the purchase. Too bad I'm no good with guitars (or fake-guitars for that matter). If this were announced for Rock Band, I'd be much more interested.
Have you ever gotten a press-release? We have gotten press releases where they miss spelled in one or another Xbox Live in the SUBJECT line. Press-releases can contain errors.
Actually, even if it did have moar converge in it, I still wouldn't buy it. I bought GH3 because of a few good songs, and I realized how much I hated the rest of the songs and the changes that Neversoft made to the series. So fuck Guitar Hero.
Oh shit yeah i love that band and that album. Would be good on Guitar Hero but like everything would prefer on Rockband. I want the whole damn album! Especially Cosmonaut, and Quarantined.
Fuck! Guitar Hero got At The Drive-In?! Ahhhhh. One of the best bands ever
Dammit, I refuse to buy another Guitar Hero game. Heres hoping for some ATDi for Rock Band DLC somewhere down the line. This song screams Rock Band treatment either way.
