Say what you must about this update but it was need to be done. You might even think of this as another throw away. I like to think of it as a tease. I mean just look at SAMUS! Oh yeah!

Color Change

This is a mere color change, no costume changes. The only difference this time around is that they tried to make some characters look like alternate versions of their original selves. It is sweet so take a look at some of the styles.

So how do you like their new costumes? That is kind of funny that Snake has a leopard print, growl! Alternate Samus and Link look sweet as well...see, this wasn't a complete waste and wasn't complete sucksville!

its the little things like this that are really making the game look like something special. I dont even have a wii and im looking foward to it!

No this didn't completely suck because it indirectly announced that Pichu isn't going to be in brawl. If you don't know what I am talking about, look at the picture of the pikachus. Notice The Pikachu wearing the goggles. Now who was it who wore those goggles in melee? Pichu that's who! I may be jumping the gun here but I really think this is a subtle hint that Pichu isn't returning in brawl.

Please remove that current aberration from the game or actually change Samus' character model to match what the Fusion Suit looks like.

I think this update completely rules out alt costumes like Tanooki Mario, Frog Mario, etc., being that the actual architecture of the models barely change.

Oh well, we DO still have a Stage Builder. Sakurai will always win on that one!

The colors are awesome, but I was really hoping for actual alternate costumes. Not that it's 100% confirmed there won't be any, but...

While you're technically correct, VG, the fusion/varia suit combo looks pretty damn good, if you ask me.

Holy crap, Dark Link and multiple Snake variants are awesome. You know what though? That Samus color scheme looks absolute garbage, and while this is my first time seeing the fusion suit (thanx to Variable Gear) I have to say that looks terrible too. She looks like a freaking deep sea diver.

This is sweet, the slight variations on everything make for some pretty nifty gaming and now all the emo kids have dark link to play with. Nintendo truly thinks of everybody.

they could have always changed his moves and put him in there. Anyways, I have a feeling Mewtwo and jigglypuff aren't going to be in here either and are being replaced by the pokemon trainer. Which makes sense, since both of those characters suck.

the reason why they prob can't do the actual fusion suit is because they would prob have to alter the model/hitboxes, and thus completely change around the character.

Alt costumes, as much as I wanted to see them in, were pretty unrealistic since they'd essentially have to redo every animation per character per costume.

Don't worry Doctor Mario, I still love you. Even if you weren't a real doctor.

The reason why it's not the full fusion suit is because that would require a different character model and, thus, have different hitboxes that would required a differently-balanced character. It's still more than I was expecting.
